Nurse should be a forward. He is a strong skater and could use his size and frame to get in the net

Emberson has been the worst oiler so far, by a mile!

If you listened to Knobby, you'd know it's because he said there's more ice time/shifts available for someone on the right side D.
To me, that means that Ekholm will be first pair PK left defense and they want the pairing to be Ekholm-Nurse.
It was also mentioned that he would likely take some shifts on the left as well, still. Though, to me, THAT is the strange part. Would be better to just have him stick to the right if that's what he's going to be playing today.
But given the PK issues this season, this decision isn't "perplexing" at all.
Though yes, it's fair from an ideal place to be.
Nurse is awful, lets just all agree. He can't carry his own line what makes the organization think he can play his off side, hes going to be on his backhand more and receiving on his back hand, the athletic argument makes no sense either, how about using that athleticism to not make mistakes and poor decisions not to use it to recover from mistakes. 9+ million for a 4-5 defense who isnt great at anything, hes not great at defense nor great offensive. Lets stop pretending hes great or is going to be great.
It's game 7, now is the time to try new things and see what works.
