Flyers gotta channel the second half of the game when they finally woke up. They are playing so far below what they are capable of, and I’m not talking about wins and losses. The effort and decision making has been dreadful. Fedotov needs to sit for Kolosov asap

I am glad they did not bench Fedotov. They're on the road, the Flyers fans can't hurt him. He needs to take shots and get this figured out so Ersson can get his rest. I am all about seeing Kolosov if Fedotov looks bad again in his next start.
Michkov had a very simple goal, one that for some reason the Flyers normally throw wide or into the stands or to the other team. It was nice to see somebody who puts it on net intelligently.
It is going to be a long year as expected.
Michkov being on a PPG game pace, as a rookie, playing for the FLYERS is nothing short of remarkable.

Great game by the Caps, a little dicey at times but love what I’m seeing overall from this group early on. The post game locker room videos show how much everyone has bought in and are on the same page. Respect to Carbs for being the leader that he is for this group. Let’s Go Caps!

Ovechkin with another slow start to the season. Only 2 goals so far. One was a fluke and the other an empty netter
John Walton was absolutely sleighting Hendrix Lapierre on Caps Radio. Problem is they don't really have a replacement C for that 3rd line unless they bump McMichael down. But he's been so effective on the 2nd line LW this season I don't think that's a good idea. Next up is Miroshnichenko but he's a pure winger as are Mangiapane and Vrana. I guess Protas is an option too but he's pretty much been a winger for a couple of years now. Only other option I see is Sgarbossa but he's not gonna be better than Lapierre. Could've really done with Ryan Leonard turning pro this year. However he hasn't exactly hit the ground running at BC either.
Holy sweet god the flyers were bad, but not nearly as bad as the score would show… They really started to get their old game back in the last bit of the second and the third.
I will say, I wasn't an inital fan of the line combinations. Was proven wrong I suppose. The PP desperately needs some work but other than that This team looks serious. This is without the future additions of Ryan Leonard and Ivan Miroschnichenko too. A little worried about some young player inconsistencies for Lapierre but it is a long season. We'll see what happens indeed. Love this team #ALLCAPS

Flyers are playing JV hockey. Goalie wise – giving Kolosov a look over who? Fedotov and Ersson have both been made of swiss cheese and/or hung out to dry by absolutely poor play by their team. It's probably too early to mix things up, seeing how frantic and sketchy the team's play has been.

capitals played terrible the last 30 mins of this game. power play isn't good enough either.
Caps playing an impressive and dangerous game. Off-season pickups were huge.
Ovi lost 116 games due to lockouts and 39 due to covid shortened seasons. He can be a cherry-picking empty net merchant as much as he pleases lol. Should be the 1000 goal chase by now if it wasn’t for things out of his control.
