  1. 8th place 3 years in a row and getting smoked doesn't help you keep your job. Gonna say GM should be on the chopping block but teams always cut the coach. Might be better to make moves now then later in the season.

  2. No actually i disagree. Some of us Canadiens fans expected better, not making the playoffs sure if you believed they would make the playoffs you're dreaming but losing this way with a very fragmented defense is not expected after 3 years of the defense group remaining similar.

  3. MSL should be sent down to Laval where he can learn to be a coach and implement his weird ideas can't be professional couch and learn on the job he's destroying the players from half decent he's making useless!

  4. I've always thought MSL's focus on concepts more than systems was a clever way of saying he's weak on the x's and o's. The team should bring in a coach who could implement a proper D system. That said, I don't believe for a second that MSL will resign anytime soon. Progress is not perfectly linear.

  5. You seriously have to question Martin St. Louis coaching abilities when he’s running a rookie 30 minutes a night.

And why was he scratching Wi-Fi? I don’t know if everybody’s noticed this, but the team plays better when Wi-Fi is on the ice at least the goaltenders do.

  6. The younger kids need experience. This will force them to up their game. That said, you still need to win 50% of games to maintain ticket sales.

  7. So is this taking an article out of context, with all he was saying is, he won't be fired, IF he does leave it will be mutual resigning. I feel like that's all he was saying… your video seems very click baity

  8. Honestly i am not surprise they are bad , it's the same roster than last year. They missing 2 top 6 forward and the best defense, they are deph enough. They need another in the last 10 standing

  9. Since 100% of the comments seem to be anti MSL I'll be the exception. I honestly don't want to lose St-Louis, sure we are not winning but honestly it's way too early to throw the towel, I think we've had enough examples through the years that he's a good coach to help make the young players better, but more than anything he is the reason why great players from elsewhere in the league finally WANT to play in Montreal, that is such a great asset to have during a rebuild. So I think what he brings is much more important than what negative he brings

  10. montreal is a bunch of nobodies coached by an amateur that thinks about himself he knows what he is doing
all drafts, and trades made by them have been catastrophic
whole their orgazination is a clownfest

  11. Huge prediction : I think Montreal will gonna hire Mike Sullivan as a AC when he will gonna get fired by the Penguins.

  12. What metric do you use to evaluate à coach in à rebuilding team? He was asked not to win for a long time. As long as he’s making our young players progress he’s checking the right boxes. Plus he’s a winner and you need that. There’s no coach I’d rather have except maybe Patrick Roy.

  13. What a load of crap, our defense shits the bed and the coach is the one to blame. Typical Montreal.

  14. I find the Habs play with more confidence when Arber is in the lineup, too bad MSL doesn't think so. imo

  15. Gotta stop listening to BPM Sports. The opinions on that radio is nothing but gossip. It’s pretty much content for the radio station. No one is talking about the Alouettes or CF Montreal.

Who’s going to replace him? Pascal Vincent? Bob Hartley? I don’t think Hartley wants the job.

  16. As usual, the constant over the top negativity from some HABS fans are what will once again drive good talent away IMO.

I mean who in their right mind, including MSL would want to compete in an environment like that long term.
