Was 3 rows behind left net on broadcast, what a game! I don’t know how, but I’ve been to about 20/30 games since the Sundin era and have never seen them lose in person. They’ve won literally every single game I’ve been to, including game 6 last year vs. Boston to tie the series. Cool video of Nylander's GWG on my channel if anyone is interested lol. I've said it before, but for all that the Home Crowd for the Leafs can be, as Joe says "subdued", there might not be a more appreciative crowed of a great penalty kill than the crowd in Toronto. What a pop for the saves and the end of the penalty.
In my opinion, the best part for Leaf fans is how the team rebounded from a rather poor back half of the first period. They came out in the 2nd and reclaimed the play and never let up.

Toronto is looking like they might be a better team than expected, while they were already considered to be a upper tier playoff team, it looks like they might have become a true contender if they can keep up the momentum with this bullish display of offense. They should be showing strong winning performances like this one vs the Tampons, along with tight battles to the end with the few teams considered elite such as the Ranger game. Which I expect the Leafs to have a good revenge game later on vs NY. If Torontos goaltending stays on the upper side of average, there is no reason to not expect them to make a deep playoff run.
