  1. There is a reason why since the beginning of the sport of ice hockey you build from the net out. The new Russian goalie put the Flyers in a precarious position letting in an average of 4 to 5 games he has played in. Losing Carter Hart destroyed the most important asset on the Flyers. Look at what happened once he was lost the end of January. They fell apart from before the All Star game to missing the playoffs. The Flyers are doing everything to fix this. In 2023 knowing things were probably going to happen drafted two goaltenders that summer in the draft. I believe the 2nd and 3rd round of 2023. They are cap strapped at this current time. Bringing over 2 goaltenders late last season has not worked out yet. Our backup goaltender we thought would be ready after a summer, or 6 months of training in Philly, nothing has changed with his play, unfortunately! Errson is decent. But those games the Russian has been in net this year has been awful. This team or most teams can not continuously play catch up. Expecting to win a game down by a couple of goals, most important routine stops for an NHL goalie. At this point this problem will lead to the Flyers are more of a Lottery Team than a playoff team. Adjustments need to be made in Net, whether the goalie finds his game, or the Flyers bringing up the young goalie in Leihigh. They can gamble and make a trade, but the payment for a trade is unlikely. Not many teams have a goalie this time of year to trade, unless the Flyers are willing to give up the farm. And if they would make a trade, there are no guarantee that another goalie would work, high stakes, I would not do it. Let's just hope that one of the Russian goalie can provide adequate backup goaltending.
