All I can say about laf is they best pay him. I'm way more concerned with our D just atrocious in our own zone at any second any one of them is about to get walked. I'm open to moving every d man but Fox especially Miller he's straight garbage.
They’ll pay him. There is no way they let someone like him slip away. He is the future captain. As soon as they dump Trouba.
Players are foolish to sign 8 year deals. A 4-5 year deal is good for him.
Laffy should sign for 4-5 years.

I see 2 possibilities for Lafreniere. 1. He signs a big money 8 year deal which will force the Rangers to move him to the #1 power play to get better value from his talent. 2. He signs a 2 year deal taking him to UFA where he can let many teams bid for his worth. If the Rangers can’t find a way to make it work, look for someone to come up with an offer sheet.
Can't re-sign Laffy if they re-sign Igor. This is the problem I've been trying to point out. Rangers either have to pick Igor or there young talent. Igor gets paid 6.5 million currently. He wants around 12 million dollars. So even if the cap goes up by let's say 6 million dollars. Re-signing Igor would eat up all of that increased cap space, leaving nothing for playing like Laffy, Miller, Schneider or any other possible new additions. This is the situation Igor and his agent has put the Rangers in. I'm sorry but no goalie is worth 12 million dollars per season.

That's a great deal.. if this kid scores between 30&40 a year plus 80-90+ points a season it's a steal
He also makes less money first 2 years of his contract so it still allows them to add and resign pieces while the cap rises
laffy line 1 othman line 2 smith line 3 culllye line 4 makes lines 1 and 4 so much better lines 2 and 3 just about as good
