Boitano or Nylander should've been traded after the disaster agains Montreal in the playoffs a couple of years ago, for a top D-man. Look at how Vegas built a winner in just 6 years (2 Stanley Cup finals, Stanley Cup championship, perennial contenders)
Given our inept management I think it might be best for us to miss the playoffs for them to clue in that it might not be a good idea to triple down on these guys. Marner and Tavares under no circumstances can return next year. (Barring a miracle cup). I’m convinced the fools already have contracts ready to extend them both and they are waiting for a good hot streak to announce them. However if they don’t have a good season maybe they’ll grow a clue. I’d rather have one failed season followed by extensive changes than to have a good season with extensions.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are the greatest sports team on the planet. It is so sad that these group of players do not understand the legacy of the truly great players that won 13 Stanley Cups. This current group of players stand on the shoulders of giants looking like kids sucking on lollipops.

To be honest nylander out of the core four looked the best the last 2 games and nylander shows emotion not like marner tavares and mathews , blank stares and black faces man they could give 2 Fs what happened that game
