Rebuild the rebuild
For as bad as this team has looked at times, we are still 4-4-1 and tied for 3rd in the division through a very difficult 9 game stretch. I liked the lines tonight. I liked seeing AJo in the lineup. Face offs have been much better lately. We need to get this power play going now. LGRW
I am still holding to my prediction that the Wings are finishing 7th in the Atlantic. They are just too inconsistent with team defense.

Another opponent that benefits from good luck and ref calls that control the game outcome. As I have said before the opposition could not skate with the Wings as seen in the first period, but made a system change that seems to always work for every team and Detroit cannot make a system adjustments. And stop passing and giving the puck away so easily.
In my opinion, this is the best game the Wings have played so far this season, despite the loss.
Once again, I could not watch the Edmonton vs Red Wing game today because it wasn’t broadcasted on ESPN+.

Becoming more and more convinced Lalonde must go! I am really sick of watching this ultra conservative cowardly style of hockey he teaches
When the Wings were ahead 1-0 vs Edmonton, it was like they were killing a 40 minute power play
Lalonde’s style seems to be, gain the center line and just turn the puck over by dumping it, then go in a shell and hope you stop the opponent from scoring with an extremely shaky defense.
Steve Yzerman will be sending them down for fighting because Steve don’t believe in fighting.
I use to watch 90% of wings games for 40 years then Yzerman took over and now they don’t check or drop the gloves. He told fans in Tampa he don’t believe in fighting in the NHL so now we have soccer in Motown
