Connor McDavid left Edmonton’s game against the Blue Jackets on Monday with a lower body injury just one shift into the game and didn’t return as the Oilers lost 6-1. What stood out about the play that saw Connor McDavid leave the game with an injury? Why have the Oilers not shown consistency this season? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to share his thoughts.

Mcd is probably just a wee bit tired of carrying this entire franchise on his shoulders for so long
Th8s joke of a league is always letting people try end his career
But they sure baby Austin mathews
Good non call. Refs need to treat star players the same as all players.
Werenski deserved a penalty? Gfy.
Hope Connor is good to go, but that ankle was in a bad way.
High ankle sprain
He put weight on that left leg coming off the ice to a stop and then stepping with his left foot into the bench area.
He just needs rest coming off a long season…
More like mrsdadvid tonight
He tripped over his two feet. Deserved a penalty? Give me a break.
He’s worn out from the mediocrity he has to deal with.
They lost too much speed and tenacity
Buttons….for gods sakes….just say the Oilers are failing to Stand-Up playactions and Opponents @ or above their Blueline, they are allowing Free-Fly O-Zone transits more than Transitions. And Skinner cannot stay off his knees, someone needs to put a couple round toothpicks behind his knees so he cant go down so easily.
Nothing… I was watching football
Pretty sure its a back injury.
From carrying the Oilers for so long.
YES give mcdavid his flowers he so deserves
Learned nothing here
McSoft back at again, no cup again
