The Canucks have been given a GEM out of NOWHERE….

The Vancouver Canucks fall to the Carolina Hurricanes in overtime after Kevin Lankinen stood on his head. Brock Boeser, Quinn Hughes and Pius Suter scored for the Canucks but Sebastian Aho scored in OT to take it for the Canes. A cllose game but only because Lankinen was so good! Let me know your thoughts!

  1. Poor petey is just being absolutely bullied out there on the ice. I personally believe he was being a strong player this match but the canes were on his ass the entire time. I believe he will snap out of it.

  2. doesnt matter.. last season we had 3 top tier goalies.. this year gain one more? cool.. we are cursed xD

  3. Lanky was the only reason worth staying up till 11 gmt. The bomb by Hughes was a beauty but he was trash most of the game. Their play felt lazy

  4. I agree about Heineken, what the hell is doing out there?? How many times is he going to get lost looking at the puck and letting players come straight down the middle of the ice. Pathetic.

  5. To be fair all the wind was knocked out of the Canucks when Bains' goal was taken back.

Coaches shouldn't be able to call a timeout then challenge a goal for being offside.

I think that if the linesmen fail to call and offside it shouldn't be able to be called after the fact. Its just a moronic rule that encourages coaches to delay the game.

  6. My biggest beef with this game is the Hurricanes called the time out then challenged the Bains goal. I always thought a team should be able to challenge a goal or use a time out. They pretty much use the time out to buy their video coaches extra time to review the off-side and then challenge the goal. I don't think that should be allowed. If you call a time out after a goal, it should be equivalent to you agree the goal stands and you allow your players to regroup. Or you challenge it immediately, taking a chance with the challenge. I know it's within the rules for them to do this, but fans in attendance shouldn't have to spend so much wasted time for a review on whether or not a player's skate is on the line after already having to sit through a time out.

  7. Arturs Silovs
    Nils Höglander
    2025 1st round pick
    2026 2nd round pick

    in exchange for Rasmus Andersson

    Would you do it?
