  1. Keep preaching Sullivan isn’t the problem though. I haven’t even hit play but I’m sure it will be an excuse fest like always

  2. So they can’t defend with Letang and Karlsson but it’s not coaching? Man I’m glad I hit play. What is the change needed then dk? You can’t blame Jeff Carter anymore so what is it?

  3. DK, why did management and Sully allow these players to be on the team if they are deficient? Who's to blame for that? And regarding Letang and Karlssohn, who's to blame for THEIR poor play?

  4. If memory serves… at the end of each of our previous 2 head coaches tenure.

They also began grasping at straws too.

Every single one of them. Tried putting Sid and Geno on a line together before their eventual firing soon after.

I think its pretty obvious, the players are done with sully.

Rip the bandaid off. Its been a long time coming.

Get a coach who doesnt value these old ass vets that have no place even playing in todays, young, fast, and skilled game.

The fact that Puusty didnt even make the team after watching him & DOC did is insane.

  5. I think it's very funny that the coach that we got in from San Jose had the worst team last year. And now, all of a sudden, we have the worst team this year.
So it is the coaching. All the coaching staff has to go.
The players are not listening to the coaches. The system is not working any more

  6. DK – I guess I can just look it up but since you’re on the inside most of the time maybe you’ll have a better answer than what I can find on the internet – but do NHL teams have any (or at all) cognitive training during the season ? like I know drills during practice & working on the powerplay(looks 200% better than last year’s) & on penalty kill (looks great) & 3on3, etc. are paramount . but how often do they use practice time for making the right decisions with or without the puck in a more detailed or should I say it – analytic approach while at practice or even actually off the ice .
or do more teams do it more than others ? I think that’s the major problem with our favorite team …
even one of the greatest players in hockey history (so far this year )
I’m thinking … “like why’d he do that ?!” – & of course most of the others (defenseman mostly)
there’s so many tools at these guys’ disposal compared to the Mario Days – I’m thinking a more perspicacious training is in dire need for this team WHOLESALE
there must be experts out there

  7. This is only the beginning of what’s to come they’re playing almost as bad as pre-90 penguin hockey

  8. Enough with the excuses and the sugar coating. Sullivan has to go! You just said it yourself, he tells the players but they don't listen. He has lost the locker room. Lost it years ago

  9. So you're saying that we need to live by the definition of insanity, just keep doing what we're doing hoping for a different result. Just keep the coach keep the system Keep On Keepin On yeah that's a great idea

  10. Ya cant fire the players. Great nhl coaches get fired all the time. What do you have to lose? Might piss off sid tho

  11. The Malkin and Crosby line were responsible for 2 of the three goals. So much for it not working. Fleury must retire a Pen

  12. Same shit different day same bs from our pathetic outdated coach ,.,, enough already ….sully gotta go ….its just insanity at this point…

  13. Grzelcyk is a third-pair guy at best. Graves, I don't know what his deal is. Karlsson, every time I watched him in the past, plays a version of "Matador" defense that has to be covered up by another stronger D man who understands the defensive side of the game. Then you have some minor-league-level guys shuttling in and out of the lineup. I understand that you can get value sometimes from a minor leaguer stepping up and stepping in, and the game clicks for them, but again, they need a steady partner to help shepherd them through things at times. Graves is still a lost lamb and hardly a steady Shepperd. A disconnect is going on, and it has been there for some time. The message is falling on deaf ears; the stars are aging out, but they still manage to be the highlight, and I admire them for that. Settle in fans for a long season. There is a little too much to salvage with a quick fix. Fire the coach, and the issues will still remain, but that is always an option. The team is in the twilight, and it'll only get darker in the near future.
