Backlund 1000th career NHL game with the Flames. Honestly disappointing performance by the veterans. Specially players like Coleman, Kadri, Weegar and Huberdeau. Deep down I knew we would be back in the tank race eventually, but to waste Backlund’s game like this was honestly sad. He’s been nothing but a team player who has had to put up with the endless mediocrity of this Flames team. Wolf was also left out to dry and I really liked watching Honzek and Kuzmenko out there. Refs were pretty bad and I really didn’t like that boarding call on Blake Coleman for the 2 man advantage, but after the 4-1 goal the game had long died.
