  1. Great 👍 video 👍 junkie 👍I liked all our prospects at this tournament. 😀 Great 👍 future for Habs, however will they translate to the N H L , who knows , but gives us better chances.

  2. I think the coach of the USA team really blew not playing Hutson more . In his limited ice time I thought Beck played great he really plays a NHL style and Roy was on a totally different level this year last year he seemed like he was a bystander but this year he was so much more involved

  3. Roy was great. He even played great PK when never doing it before. The kid has game and is not a floater.

  4. our prospects did an outstanding job and the future looks really really bright…. why Hutson was not played more could be a reason USA only got bronze…..wasted talent sitting on the bench

  5. I really don't like using this tournament as a precursor for these kids. That said, it did seem like habs prospects stood out this year. Roy is the obvious. He seemed to really get more comfortable as the tournament went on, and he earned being on that line. He's a smart player.

Hutson would catch your eyes every time he was on the ice( which should have been more). He was beating defenders, keeping pressure, and making plays every time he was on the ice. The kids gifted, and I'm really starting to believe the habs may have caught lightning in a bottle with him.

Fanntilli is a reason why I don't get to hyped about players in the wjc. He's gonna be better then he showed.

  6. every time Beck was on the ice he carried the play, you noticed him. I was very impressed.

  7. This video makes the Montreal management look to get rid of a few pylons dressed as hockey players. We know who they are. Please, please, please make these pylons melt away.

  8. You know that Wawa would have had a lot more points if he would have played on the first PP wave, there was a lot pf goals scored by the first wave, and probably more if Wawa would have been on it.

  9. I played with Lane when he was still playing in Illinois in youth. I’ve never seen a harder working player in my life. What he’s missing in size he makes up for in work ethic. Guy is an absolute steal for the habs

  10. As a lifelong Habs fan, I've never been more excited about our talent pool as it moves forward right now. The Fans are gonna be bonkers for the great hockey we have coming!

  11. Man Junkie, your are getting so much better !! The catch phrases are coming along nicely. Yes..yes..just a beauty of a video brother. 👍🏻👍🏻

  12. I was stoked with Roy's play. He was really good, and it wasn't because he was playing with Bedard, i think he made Bedard better, if anything, and I wasn't that impressed with Hutson, It was really the first chance Id gotten to see him play, he was a healthy scratch for a game or two, and i know there was a lot of good D men on the team, but the way I hear people hype this kid up, i was expecting Cale Makar, and that wasn't at all what i seen. I dont think he played bad, by any means, but i wasn't really super impressed, i wasn't thinking WOW!! I can't wait to see this kid on our blue line, as im sure some of u may have been thinking. It was a small sample size, im not giving up on the kid, and saying i think he isn't going to be a good hockey player, i was just expecting a bit more i guess. I liked beck a lot too. Guhle is out for 2 months, and it's gonna be 2 more weeks til we see monahan back, so get ready to extend this losing streak!!! Here we come Bedard!!! Look out Chicago, here we come for that bottom spot!!! lol, it's gonna be a rough year, but it will all be worth it when we get Bedard.

  13. Great breakdown! loved the column for nicknames 😉

IMO I get a lot more fun out the the WJC when the Habs have a prospect on the team. I have no love for Austria and can honestly say I wouldn't have cared to see them play but once I found out Rohrer was on the team, I instantly had someone to cheer for! Austria got pummeled but I was cheering for him regardless!

I was hoping to see Beck play more but I understand why they didn't play him much after adding him to the team. As you mentioned, maybe next year.

Same for Hutson. He got limited ice time but there was like 4 great 19 year old defensemen ahead of him. He too should get more ice time next WJC. I will give credit to the US coach for putting Hutson on the ice in overtime. Anyone who watched the game must have notices that Hutson tripped up a little as the last man back with the puck before he skated around all the players to the net before the game winning goal. That was some scary stuff. Hutson will have to be careful because he made a few tricky plays at the blue line and lost the puck throughout the tournament. He's not used to playing at this level of play. I'm sure he took note of it and will adjust his game. But still, it was a little risky to put him on the ice 3-3 but the gamble played off. Hutson looks like he's got a choppy stride. I hear some scouts say he's skating isn't great and I think it might be attributed to it but I don't really see him as a bad skater. He's seems more spontaneous than bad. It actually makes him more deceptive. You never know which way he's going. I look forward to see him progress and will cheer him on to make the NHL!

As for Wawa, I too think he might have benefited from playing on that top line and I did say in a previous post that I thought he didn't hustle enough and I often see him standing between the 2 faceoff circles and wait for a pass, but after listening to other people talk about his game, he did go in the corners more and do some of the dirty work to get the puck to Bedard and Stankoven. And technically, if either of these 2 guys were skating around with the puck looking for a pass, where's a better place for Roy to be? Tomas Plekanec was projected to be a 3rd line center. He turned out to be much better. So here's hoping Wawa becomes at minimum a 3rd line center in Montreal too. He's smart, skilled and apparently improved his work ethics. Great!

I have to give a shout out to Logan Stankoven. I didn't hear enough praise towards this guy. For an undersized player, he was very good. He was always a threat out there and maybe he's not 6'2" like Fantili, but he was much more important to Canada's gold medal. Way to go Logan!!

  14. I didn't know Engstrom was a Habs prospect and yet he stood out to me in CAN vs SWE big time. I like his game a lot

  15. Wawa was definitely my fav. He was all over the place. I had to go check to make sure he was a Habs draft. And Bedard was breathtaking. Wright was not half bad either…
