I truly do not get how the average fan of a non playoff team wants them to win when it only hurts the draft in every round. If one random team had the worst record in any pro sport for 7 straight years they would have a huge advantage over 90% of the teams. You could do cap dump trades and fix your own cap and trade for future 1sts. Obviously the team needs to sell enough tickets they still break even or more to do this but if the Sharks did this it would be way easier to be a cup contender at the end.
At the end of week 10 the Raiders had #2 overall pick and the 2nd pick of every round locked up. Now they will pick around 8th and with no real benefit at all.
Even other fans think there is something wrong with me that I want my fav teams to lose to help the future like that is weird or bad.
When we signed Linus Ullmark—I thought we were getting a serviceable goalie—22-1-1 later and we now have the best goalie in the league—he’s starting to give me Tim Thomas vibes
Man, James Reimer put a helluvan effort considering the sharks defense was a turnstile for the Bruins. The Bruins and Ullmark were phenomenal. Reimer was the only reason the sharks didn't get turned into fin soup tonight.
