Not sending him to WJC was a big mistake by the management. First L by Hugues.
Everyone is forgetting habs had 2 other players playing on team Canada in Canada so not only would he be facing Wright and two other players they are developing team Canada was stacked so him having the possibility to failing on a medal spot giving fans another reason to complain
The AHL would be safer for Slaf because, although it is slightly more aggressive than the NHL, it is also a lot slower. That would give him a chance to sharpen his instincts and not get hit so much.
Maybe part of Habs development of Slaf is to allow him to experience failure at the highest professional level, not shelter him. A lot of success in anything is mental. Slaf has the physical skills
Mr. Slaffer is on pace to have a better rookie year than many similar size players that are considered top tier today. I see progression in his play as the months go by. In the last three games for example, he avoided a few hits by looking up (he got hit once but avoided most of it by being aware), so that thing we criticized him for a few weeks ago, he's already addressing. His skating is a bit more consistent, doesnt fall as much and now I think he needs to work on his defensive zone plays a little more before being promoted.
The Young Guns Podcast made the same vid yesterday…
I am beginning to question Kent Hughes' hockey decisions.
Lafreniere for Juraj Slafkovsky who says no?
Another armia 2.0. Some players are big but they play small like slaf-bust-sky. He should play like powerhorse anderson and then maybe he will earn a spot. He should play in laval.
Wright got sent to Kingston after world juniors. Slav should go to the AHL.
The real fumbling was to choose Slafkovsky instead of Cooley.
Slaf will be fine, the ones who really got screwed were team Slovakia, he could have been the difference between at least the Semis vs where they ended up.
Every NHL and AHL player that played in the WJC, grew from that experience. I can't believe the habs did not send him there considering he hasn't done much lately despite an increased ice time. If you objectively look at him, there's ZERO progression in his game. He's actually regressed since his mini point streak. The NHL game is way to fast for him right now. The kids needs some time to develop in an environment that is better suited for his skillset. That's the AHL. I'm baffled when people tell me Slaf has been playing real well and needs to stay in the NHL. It's like we're not watching the same game… clearly right now, all his doing is filling out a jersey. Throw the ego away and send him to Laval !
he's a bum, told you all 3 months ago
send this bum down lol
Laval is a small crappy team
No
Man sorry to all my fellow bias habs fans but , that guy is no way shape or form a 1st overall elite player
Slafs is brutal, the hockey iq or Donald brashear and the acceleration of Guillaume Latendresse . I mean come on , let’s be honest, for those of you who still believe in that guy and yes I already gave up on him, 30 games is all you need to watch a player incapable of skating with his heads up , that this guy should of went out mid to late first round as a project
Even kk at a younger age , yes kk was younger than slafkovsky went he started, but KK had great hands , skated his head up, even threw the occasional hits here and there
The habs needed a right handed defenseman , Nemec or jiricek would of worked but people and their clichés “ you draft the best available player”🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ The best available player was a guy who never impressed throughout his entire career and had one good Olympic tournament? A tournament made of hasbeen and which Eric staal was the most famous player😂😂😂 I bet slavkosky isn’t there in two years, he might not be first overall material but if developed right , he could become a good power forward on a 2nd or 3rd line but th3 habs are destroying him just like many other prospects
He's an 18 year old who plays on a crap team of lazy "veterans" Your click bait headlines contribute to the negativity.
The weakest draft in years. The only one who's laughing is Bettman. He gave Habs 1st overall, so now Habs fans can't complain about not winning a lotter. It doesn't matter that these players are level behind 2023 draft.
Daddy chill
He’ll be aight
Ha wot!!?? Mr Puljujärvi 2.0 aint workin ha ? How come
Having him play in the NHL already is a huge mistake in my eyes he's no Crosby or McDavid. I think he's going to be a complete bust but that's only half his fault
