  1. Why can't the team stick together as one family? Trading away Miller and Horvat is like disowning two of your family members. Very damaging to team morale!

  2. Usually players take a discount to stay as well. Going out and testing the UFA market is when teams have to overpay. Sad that he didn’t give Vancouver a discount.

Even B.Rust, who’s first chance to get paid was this contract. And he was a 20 plus goal scorer and close to a PPG player the last 3 seasons took a discount in Pittsburgh. 5.1M for 6 years is more than reasonable.

Getting above 7M per you have to be over a PPG player, a perennial AS and a good locker room guy. Miller has never been an AS, has only had two(2) PPG seasons out of his 8 full seasons, and is more of a problem than a help in the locker room.

  3. Chink, why you always pretending you play hockey for clout to continue your worthless hockey analysis.

  4. Miller was a poor signing. Not a bad player, just not the right guy. The cap sucks and it traps teams. Vancouver is just one of many caught in the trap.

  5. Miller will be ok he has had off years and I personally can't think of a better year than this year for him to crap the bed.

  6. I would much prefer the Canucks to buy Miller out. But if that is somehow impossible, giving Miller away in addition to a 2nd round pick is a small price to pay in the long run.

  7. I expect any player to have a letdown year after getting a big contract. I expect this to happen to Bo as well no matter which team signs him. I think Miller will be better next year and perhaps trade him then with a 2nd. But we can learn from this and trade Horvat now. If possible, Garland and Boeser, too.

  8. Skinner looked like a terrible contract and now he doesn't as well as the Sabres as a whole seem to be getting better so it's possible

  9. Funny how all of Canada’s teams have a season of absolute misery. Ottawa had the whole Hoffman and uber incidents and sucked the season after their ECF run. Then MTL had their cup run and followed that up with placing 32nd in the NHL. And now Vancouver has an absolute cancerous locker room and suck. Also can’t forget Toronto’s constant great regular seasons and 1st round exits. Oilers have had their bad moments (like losing to the hawks in the bubble, and getting swept by the jets). Jets looked like prime cup contenders around 2018 and then lost their top 4 in FA. Also had the Laine drama. Calgary had two great seasons, and then followed those up with mediocrity. Also lost M. Tkachuk and Gaudreau. Sounds like being a canadian hockey fan is miserable.

  10. We need Aquilinni to stop playing GM. It's become so obvious and pathetic. The reason Linden walked away and said no thanks, as Linden told him they need a complete rebuild, and GM Aquaman still can't/won't listen, not even to legendary GM Rutherford. Sad but true.

  11. If they don't sacrifice a 2nd rounder to get rid of Miller for a bag of pucks (or a shorter bad contract), they'll have to sacrifice a 1st rounder to get rid of him in the future… or bury him in the minors. You can not keep a cancer like Miller on the team and expect a winning atmosphere. The guy is an arse to his teammates on the ice and I can only guess what he's like off it.

  12. I bet Petey is thinking long and hard about actually committing long term to a team like the Canucks…

  13. Who are you, and what am I watching? Tragically on-point commentary👍🏽

  14. >trade (realistically to get back maximum return right now, for stacking draft picks in upcoming draft, & to purposely tank in the meantime increasing chance of drafting 1st overall &/or trade up to get 1st overall, these tradable assets): horvat, boeser, garland, pearson, myers, poolman, demko

  15. i guess you missed tonight's conversation about Mr Kuzmenko's payout ??

  16. didnt Canucks hire front office people who's main goal is too do contracts, write the fine lines and figure out a way how to make all these work with other teams? If we as normal folk who work jobs to pay bill and live can come up with scenarios, then why cant these fools being paid millions come up with something that works.
