  1. A couple of penalties the Red Wings took were pretty soft. NJ and Buffalo have filled our net this year.

  2. Varna has to of had pain pills issues after all his injuries. Anyway, that’s my guess. Hope he bounces back and is better than mantha!

  3. No more stupid Penalties please because you idiots cant kill penalties it always ends up with our opposition scoring on the power play

  4. Looks like husso should go to grand rapids bring back Ned asap looked great tonight while husso continued to struggle on a nightly basis

  5. I really thought we were making the playoffs this year 😔especially with new coach and solid goaltending and more confidence we have and staying competitive and fighting ways back to get valuable huge points, but we haven’t been healthy and it’s hurt us bad ,I guarantee we would of made the playoffs if we were healthy but this shits getting old and FUSTRATING 😢I just want to see my team start contending again especially since I never seen the redwings have there glory days and when they were the team of the NHL and winning cups,I didn’t get into hockey at that time it just wasn’t my sport baseball was I was huge tigers fan and I still am but not as much as a redwings fan since how much I’ve learned how good of a organization they are the redwings are a unique sport team ,I just want to see them win especially since I may be 24 years old but again I never watched hockey in the redwings dynasty I was watching the tigers a lot and they made a couple World Series finals but didn’t complete the goal ,that was tough so it’s been a rough past 10-12 years of Detroit teams

  6. Husso could’ve used some more time to recover while Hellberg was well rested after New Years break, honestly thought he would start again ☹️

  7. I can’t help to think how different this season would be if Seider was the same Seider he was last year. I mean, the dude was a monster last year. Constantly driving offense and very rarely turning it over. This year, not so much.

Also, just having a full and healthy team. A healthy Bertuzzi, Fabbri, and Vrana all season would’ve seen us doing far better. A shame.

  8. Alex Tanguay, need to be set lose from his employment. He was an average player in a stack AVS. As staff in RW his usless and it is reflected on our PP.

Our 5v5 game is still terribly bad and the game in our own zone substandard to be at NHL level. The team never does a full game at 60/min. Today's game was a 60/min long training low speed session for RW and you made it easy and fun for NJD to play a game without any major problems here.

D-per, I see a little improvement when MO and Ben were separated. Ben more active (talks more) with Hronik and MO is still very lost on the ice in way too big a stretch here. Our D has difficulty getting the game going and they become stagnant, preferably behind their own goal. Cage protection was popular and cool in the 80's in Sweden, doesn't work at all in a fast sport today. You either move the puck with a quick pass or go up the lane, how hard can it be for a pro.

8 out of 10 passes are a chance out in the middle, often to opponents because there are no red shirts nearby. Why do we have such a long team here!

The only ones who get approved today are our youngsters and Farbi, who looked very eager to play again. Welcome back Fabri' I like what I saw.

Body check, we don't have any because there is no pressure and support. NJD has more speed than us and we collapse low in our own zone. Why do we choose to block the view of our own goalkeeper, so stupid.

No Larkin, you had no chance of winning this game because you are not even in the game. That we miss 1v1 with the goalkeeper happens, however, we have several such opportunities tonight and there is no sharpness in any of these finishes from a RW player.

We scored a 1 goal and it was positive… Yea we where close to win this game…..

We as a team turn everyone else's goalkeepers into Franchise players, always bad teams that keep doing do that.

Start tank for better draft picks and blow the team up and start with all player over 26 years of age. The once we cant trade, send em to GR like Pens did for Mario Lemieux back in the days. Thats how you do it….

  9. Lame excuses and you played nowhere near good enough to win 5 on 5. Ya'll just coasted the whole time and maybe had 5 good shots out of 30. You guys don't know how to open the ice to get the puck in the slot because Ya'll just play keep away on the outside til you turn it over. You're a clown and never will be a true leader or captain. You can't even admit or own up to a terrible performance. Even the commentators knew you sucked tonight Larks. Mid second line center at best. So many Wings fans need to quit drinking this guys urine.

  10. I don't like Lalonde at all. You can tell he is just "a friend" and not a true head coach to the team. This performance tonight was an embarrassment. Then he throws Husso under the bus when he's the only reason they stayed in the game for the first 40 minutes and beginning of the third. Smh Shameful

  11. A few relapse of collapsing in the D-zone when the other team gets the speed up. Look how NJ uses speed in defense.
Larkin being behind the play defensively from time to time, led to two goals. I see him traded, sooner rather then later (for Horvat?)
Elmer did some really smooth passing around the net. Funny to see him with Bratt on his back in a board battle.
NJ is a very good team this year. A lot of top three draft picks for sure but also patiens with 7th round picks like Bratt. Other then individual talent they have a "hold every one accountable" culture, they have a working system going in all zones (much improved from last season). You can tell Lalonde is impressed with them and probably takes some inspiration from Lindy's build.

  12. Blind passing, shooting wide, taking awful penalties, and awful special teams. They can’t fricken score and that makes it really hard to watch this team. Larkin has most goals which is 13… bad. I can remember two games in the last month or more where we got a lead and held it for the win. Frustrating as hell to watch this team and I care less and less. They’re nowhere close I really hate to say it.

  13. Here is what needs to happen. Yzerman needs to trade Dylan for Bo Horvat. Larkin is a hard worker no doubt, but he's not a game changer. Second, the defense pieces needs to be subtracted. I know we just acquired new defensemen, but that needs to continue until we find the right ones, and Bertuzzi needs to be included in a deal for those pieces along with Zadina and possibly Lidstrom. . The defense is the hardest part of a rebuild to form, actually. The goalie situation (beside Ned) are fine. This isn't on Husso. Vrana is a goal scorer, but it will take time to get him NHL ready again
