  1. Whooooa. What an opening to this video Wayne O! I hear the Jefferson Airplane, and I'm rock n rolling along with you.

  2. Schenn or Edmundson are the 2 the Sabres should strongly consider especially for a 3rd or 4th round draft pick. Your last 2 would be considerations as long as the cost is not outrageous. I never understood a team that is tired of a top draft pick expecting another team to give up top end value on that younger player. Ryan Johnson I am not in a rush to move since he was a 1st round draft pick the Sabres will get a 2024 2nd compensatory draft pick if he doesn't sign with us.

  3. I would not go for a big deal until we are definately a playoff team. Luke Schenn would b a great pickup, especially if we could extend him. Edmonson fits the bill, but would the Habs trade within the division? Lafreniere may be worth a punt. The latest rumour that I have heard is that he could be part of a Horvat trade.

  4. Wayne , I like Schenn , the others you mentioned their respective teams will want way too much for them . We need a forward that could bring the same type of though play as schenn would on defense. Unfortunately I donā€™t think Adams will do anything.

  5. Schenn and Chychrun would be a nice shopping list at the right price. I hear Alexis has skating issues, but I haven't seen him play…as fast as we are becoming Im not sure he would fit in

  6. If Adams is going to trade for a D man he better do it asap as history shows the price for a decent D man is usually a 1st round pick on trade deadline day.
Apparently the price for Chychrun is now 2 first round picks plus prospects ! Thats crazy but Adams unlike most GMs could pay something close to that. Vegas 2023 2nd rounder , 2024 1st rounder and Ryan Johnson or Jacob Bryson. IMO the price is too high for an injury prone player like Chychrun .
What about Dumba in Minmesota , i heard hes available since hes UFA this summer. Problem is his contract this season. Hes being 6 million this year!! Way over paid IMO. Hope hes not expecting a raise next season .

  7. They need to Figure out the Defense is all in saying. Olofsson and Hinostroza Bryson are my Trade pieces Right now but they need to make a trade for Dman. Joki is in a another walking boot so i think its vital cuz idk how much more Bryson and Cale Clague i can watch

  8. I'll finish the video of course but Wayne, those first two are EXACTLY what this team needs to be not just a playoff team but the start of a real Cup contender, and for a total cap hit of $4.5M puts them just a smidge north of the $3-4M I expected. Trade for those boys and this exact team is going places

I'd rather keep Johnson, we have no other real blue line development or depth that's close to the NHL game and our current depth aren't very good at this level of the sport, but I think I would still take that trade for Chycrun yeah. 1st Johnson Portillo

  9. I don't know bud, I like your suggestions and they all make a bit of sense to do. I guess I'd go the cheap route right now and do anything major in the off season. I just don't want to give a ton away and possibly ruin the chemistry. I know Portillo and Johnson may bolt but I think Johnson is interested in staying with us. Portillo is harder to judge. I hate that players we draft, and let them finish college, can just up and bolt! It just sucks. I guess if you know they want to leave for sure then package them to get something good. I think if KA and Donny Meatballs have a scheme I can get behind it. I'm psyched with the picks we have made in recent years it just sucks waiting for them to develop. Think I'm gonna have to go ask the Magic 8 Ball and read some tarot cards or something lol, darn you Wayne šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘šŸ’

  10. We need another defenseman that can play and be a good top 4 guy. We have alot of bottom line/rotational defenseman already feel we need a shut down guy that is a physical presence and nobody gets past him. Honestly at this point, i think oloffson is the odd man out, feel he should be the one on the outside looking in. His scoring is just soo streaky and i'd rather give the spot up to jack quinn or peterka and use oloffson's value to trade up for a decent defenseman.

  11. After watching the last 2 games itā€™s quite evident that our weakness is at D. I believe UPL is gonna be fine with minutes. We struggle exiting our own end and getting pushed around in front of our net. Figure skating Dahlin can only do so much. Give me a guy with the heart/attitude of Krebsy and the size strength of Scott Stevens. Someone needs to wake Adams up.
    Great video Waynsey!!

    Praying for DamaršŸ™

  12. I realistically cannot see Buffalo trading for any forwards, especially top 6 forwards, as Buffalo has no room on their roster. The top line is set long-term, as is the Kid Line as the de-facto #2 line. Buffalo already has the top offense in the league, they need to focus on getting more meat in their bottom 6 forward group that can play a pure shutdown role. And in my opinion, Schenn and Edmunson would not add much more to this lineup than Lyubushkin currently provides. And I am all for going after Chychrun, but at the right price. I do not want to be throwing away 1st round picks like Tim Murray did… and if they do trade a 1st round pick, it needs to be top-5 protected.

  13. Hey Wayne, great suggestions. I just saw that the Sharks have made Ryan Merkley available (22 year old RHD) and the wings have placed Jakub Vrana on waivers. Two very interesting pieces Buffalo should look at.

  14. Adams has shown to be quite patient in waiting for the right deal. He's not willing to sell the future for immediate success. But he's also not shy from entertaining big trade ideas either. I think he's calculated enough to make the right decision without rushing anything. Adding more depth and strength to our blue line is key to making a push now. Goaltending Is starting to come together. The offence is there. We really just need the D to be tightened down. If we can make a move that will do that, without selling too much of the future, plus add to the chemistry, we can make a legitimate push

  15. Rumors is that the Rangers want a top 6 player and a 1st for Alexis LafreniĆØre, the same person that reported it doesn't think they are going to get it. So maybe the Sabers can get him for Olofsson or Mittelstadt and a 1st and a 2nd. Or something of that nature.

  16. whatever trade we do HAS to involve middlestadt, should trade him for a water bottle or a bag of pucks.

  17. if arizona wants (2) 1st rounders PLUS a high end prospect for chychrun i am not interested. he is not the piece i think we need. I like this list though, it makes sense. the LeFrenierre choice is really interesting. i think i speak for many sabres fans when i say that i am VERY hesitant to trade away most if not all of our prospects/players, and continue to watch the impressive development.

  18. I would love to see Patrick Kane in a Sabres jersey. He's originally from Buffalo, so his going there would be a homecoming (of sorts). And his Stanley Cup experience would definitely help the Sabres in their quest for a playoff spot this year. They have the cap space, so that's no problem, and with Chicago about to undergo a rebuild of their own, some of the Buffalo prospects would be just what the Black Hawks might be looking for. How about Portello, Kulich, Mittestadt, Olofsson and the seoond-round pick from Vegas in the Eichel trade for Patrick Kane and Chicago's second-round pick in 2023?

  19. I think itā€™s time Sabres do some addition by subtraction and hone in on those minus players like Bryson, Mittelstadt and Olofsson. Krebs benefited from time in the press box, and itā€™s time to see if they are better off with Asplund or Vinnie. Clague is making Bryson expendable, and Iā€™d like to see if another call-up like Rousek or Murray could play more of a roll. But theyā€™d have to get rid of some forwards; theyā€™ve been pretty healthy at forward. I donā€™t think they will deviate from their plan, & am not expecting a blockbuster. But Cliff Pu helped you get Jeff Skinner. See if Olofsson can get you another Clague-like dman – former 2nd round pick, late bloomer
