So if we hadn’t given Olivier a ridiculous amount of ice time, do we get a goal?

Best game all year.
Caps fans acting like they’re in the playoffs when they barely scraped by the worst team in the entire NHL.
1. Kuemper goalie’d us.
2. This is the game that broke me with Brad Larsen. I’ve been a broken record, but how the hell does Marchenko get less ice time than anyone not named Carson Meyer? HOW DOES OLIVIER GET MORE EVEN STRENGTH ICE TIME THAN JOHNNY FUCKING GAUDREAU!? It makes no sense at all.
3. Elvis had some pretty nice saves and no weak goals given up and I’m happy to see that!
Another notch for Bedard or Co but I am glad Elvis/Defense really did a great job tonight…now once we get the other side working again we are right on schedule for our late season run to knock us out of a 1-4 draft slot to a 5-9 one!
The tank is back on track.

Marchenko, a night after a hat trick, had the 2nd lowest minutes on the team only above Carson Meyer.
I wonder what Larsen said to Elvis in the first period. He seemed locked in the rest of the game
Kuraly and Olivier getting more ice time than Kent and Kirill. Hell even Foudy got more. Very confusing choices by Brad. Rosolovic getting 7 more mins than Kent too. Just let the kids play.
Perfectly fine with that result. Boys looked pretty good, the only goal against Elvis was a freak bounce, and no points for the tank. Biggest gripe is ice time allocation. I’ll take this result.
Weird fucking game man. Incredible effort but zero goals. Hope to see that same level of effort in the coming games!

-Gaudreau played the exact same amount of minutes, down to the second, as Kuraly
-Marchenko played the second-fewest minutes on the team
-Roslovic played almost 21 minutes
-Gudbranson was second on the team in ice time
Can’t even take solace in us playing a good game and just getting goalied because Larsen’s deployment of players is borderline sabotage.
Defense played great ! PK was awesome ! Elvis was solid ! The forwards/offense ??? Just needed one goal to get this to OT. Damn !!! Effort and compete was there…team deserved better result.
You know what, I’m as okay with that as I can be with losing. Like I expected nothing between the 3 games in four days, rough practice, and game 2 of a B2B but that was a good effort tonight.
It’s still unfortunate Kuemper decided to play his ass off lol.
Alright guys the Blackhawks are beating the Flames right now and the Coyotes are beating the Penguins. We can still win the day.
