2 checks, amazing. Amazing you can almost break a game down to 2 checks. 2 WINS! Trouba won those 2 games. The players and the coach will tell you. Those were HUGE moments in those games where he leveled the opposing players.
I thought the announcer was a nozzle when I watched the game. Saying his blade came off. They make a up a lot of crap while the game is on.

Something that seems lost is that hitting is allowed in hockey. Every time there's a huge hit people cry for a suspension, but hitting is legal. I guess a lot of people have forgotten that hitting is allowed considering barely any players throw hits anymore.

Yes hitting is allowed….. If you are a big guy, you can still hit a smaller player….I really dont think people want to take hitting out of the game, but its a great talking point!
The point is do you want to see amazingly skilled players go off the ice in stretchers, or have players like Scott Stevens that ended multiple peoples careers head hunting? Sure they are clean hits, and the guy with the puck should have been looking…But have respect for your fellow players….. the consequence is devastating…… never receive another dime from playing hockey, go back to school and use that injured brain to learn how to make a living.
The issue I have with Trouba's hit is he knows he is tall, and just as he is going to make the hit, he lits his whole body up and almost makes sure his shoulder hits his head. Maybe if this was a one time offence I would not think twice about it….. but Trouba was lucky Crosby came back after he hit him in the head with an elbow this playoffs too.
And Aaron Rome got suspended for the rest of the Stanley Cup finals for a similar hit.
ESPN need to do a better job
The NHL is pushing the Rangers through, that's the second very obviously suspendable hit by trouba, way up high, clear intent to injure, no desire to play the puck

Good hit, not dirty and an unfortunate injury but this is nothing new when these two teams meet in the playoffs. I'm sure these teams each have a long memory and in this case, they don't have to go too far back to see similar stuff from the other side.

I donโt care what anyone says, I have seen to much of this crap. From peewee to nhl. A hit to the head is the dumbest thing ever. Also, a hit to the head is 100% intent to injury someone. At all levels this should be immediate suspension. Second offense and you are gone for good. Just stupid. Now, I people are going to try and say it is a good. Hit. Um,,, no it is not.
It is a garbage hit. This game is great and should more about skill than causing percent injury. Just does not make sense.

Hilarious listening to the some of the comments on here…clear intent to injure and clear head contact where the head is the initial point of contact, you'd have to be an idiot not to see that. You can add that the puck isn't even in the area. Let me guess here "playoff hockey"? I've hits during the season with less contact getting suspensions. The NHL says it wants this stuff out of the game (only when its suits them)
Canes need a player to respond to that kind of hit. Clean or not, there was clear intent to injure. Delivered a head shot to one of their top scorers. The next time Trouba stepped on the ice, and for every subsequent shift, he should have been target practice. Canes literally ignored it. Tampa won't.
Gotta love these people showing the picture of his head on Trouba's shoulder and calling it a head shot. His head bounced on Trouba after the contact. It was shoulder to shoulder. These people make no sense. If McDavid threw that hit, everyone would be praising him

The Rangers were GIVEN Game 3 against the Canes, 2 cheap-ass penalties in the 1st which was enough to win it.
