Maybe this is a rogue suggestion but: players don’t get paid much (relatively) to attend ASG, TK’s son is still too young to really appreciate the event, and it means TK gets an extra weekend off instead. Is it possible they decided not to ask him for his own benefit? He’ll get to go another year when Flyers are doing better (i.e. there’s less pressure on him for every game) and him and his family can make memories
EDIT: TK said postgame Kevin will have his brother’s kids with him and it will be a special experience for them as a family

I was really annoyed at first but after seeing TKs interview its not only not a big deal but its great for Hayes and his family. He’ll bring his whole family including his nephew and sister in law there for a very cool weekend.
TK already has been an all star so I dont think he cares. Good chance he prefers it so he has the time off to be with his young son. It holds zero prestige anymore and so many great deserving players dont get in because of the 1 per team rule.
