The Minnesota Wild Aim to Tame Tough January!

On today’s episode of Locked on Wild, Alex Micheletti joins to recap a huge win over Tampa Bay. We look at how Filip Gustavsson has continued his run of dominance and why it doesn’t appear as though his quick exit at the end of the game was anything to be overly concerned about. We look at a dominant night from the Kaprizov line and a vintage performance from the GREEF Line. We preview games over the weekend against Buffalo and St. Louis, with a focus on everything going on in Buffalo right now surrounding Damar Hamlin. We look at a few key injuries starting to pile up in the Central Division, the Wild’s faceoff issues and what the lineup will look like when Brandon Duhaime returns (which could be as soon as this weekend)!

  1. Addison had a good game, notice more shots on the goal, confidence and guess what.. good multi point night

  2. What a breath of fresh air NOT having to listen to LaPanta Carter or especially Wes but especially LaPanta.

  3. When the Wild does get trapped, it’s usually a size concern. Watching Marron lean on Addison / and 46 is a concern. Eventually, I would like to see a Shustr come up as a 7th just to see if he could add some size periodically. As for last night, I loved P3 and how we kept the clock moving and the score at bay. Dumba needs to control the stick, 4 minutes could have been a death blow, those are careless penalties and need to stop. As for Gusty, wow, what a find as he is maturing into a great goalie. I also wanted to mention 97, my heavens are we are taking him for granted? He should be mentioned as the things he does and can do are beyond what 99% of NHL’ers can achieve. Special just special…

  4. My thoughts
Duhaim can play either wing and maybe center I think he plays for who needs a nite off
As I have said before Gustafson is are number one playing as a two.
The one player we can't replace besides Kaprisov is Erickson.ek
He brings a quality of hockey that nobody has on this team.
Regardin Buffalo as you know I picked
The sabres as my surprise team this year
And there playing as I thought they would
There two defenseman and a goalie from the cup Granato is a great coach
