  1. Matt Canada has improved. But the only question the top brass should be asking is he the OC that can help us win a championship? If the answer is no then he should be replaced. Pretty simple

  2. I believe they could have gone to Buffalo and given them a game next week ya never know I would certainly not see a 38-3 game again just sucks 😒.

  3. I agree DK. For me it was about forward progress and building for next year. Making the playoffs would have been a bonus but not required. I know all about patience. As a Blue Bomber CFL fan we waited a long time to get to where we are. Steelers wont take as long lol. Now that you put the thought out there. I too think it is actually better that they didn't make it to the playoffs. Better for morale going into next year. That's for the great coverage this year.😎

  4. Kenny progression was the only thing that mattered this year an we got that but two things need to happen he has to have a jump in his play in all aspects an play calling most evolve for us to contend

  5. Everything is due for a reset.

Yes. So when is Tomlin going to be replaced with a coach who's more attentive to team deficiencies?

We literally had to wait for Cowher to go on live tv to chew out Art and Tomlin to run the ball. As soon as he did that, we started running the ball again.

It was too late in the season at that point. That's what cost us the playoffs this year, and even prior years.

STOP THROWING WHEN YOU HAVE GOOD BACKS!!!!

  6. Thank you for all that you do Dejan! Helping us fans through this rollercoaster of a season. It was fun. I am glad it at least ended with a bang..
Looking forward to a wonderful off season with you. Your wisdom and insight is always the best. You know I will be listening each and every week day!! Here we go!!

  7. I think most real Steelers' fans would say that just being in the conversation for the playoffs was a bonus this season.

  8. I agree 100% – maybe it was a good thing the season ended like this….we ended the season on a victory and not ending it on a pasting/loss in Buffalo…also, we end the season – apart from MUTH without any major injuries…whose to say that would have held against the Bills? Mainly, this is a good chance for this young squad to be hungrier and learn that they should not let their future in the hands of other teams (or Joe Flacco!!!). …. The next step forward is the playoffs so that is a realizable goal!

  9. Despite not making the playoffs, winning these games and finishing on an optimistic note is far better than limping into the playoffs and getting smashed by the chiefs when you knew we were going to need a new Qb next year and it looked like rough times for a couple of seasons. Only feel positive rather than negative.

  10. Found it interesting you used Dotson because he will not be the starter next year. That guy has had a game altering penalty every single game this season.

  11. Hey DK. Love the show. What do you think about the team prioritizing Edge Rusher this off-season. Seems to me that the team can't win without an elite pass rush. TJ's absence was insurmountable this year.

  12. The players finally executed the offense and showed promise, but the coordinator in charge of that progress on the offense needs to go so that the offense can start all over with a new OC.
Then when they struggle to get everyone on the same page and execute the new OC's offense, it'll be all his fault and he should be fired too.
I'm seeing a trend here, right up there with the fire Tomlin crowd. I'll bet there's a lot of crossover in the two, "fire the coaches," groups.

  13. There is no reset coming, this team will never even make a deep playoff push with Tomlin at the helm, he has passed Marvin Lewis in disappointing seasons and is still being revered, hope everyone’s satisfied with barely scraping above .500 because that is now the “standard”😂

  14. DK I was very impressed how this team got better, especially how the defense got back to normal when TJ got back. They need a real NT that is a run killer and a true number corner then they will be a great D

  15. I'm ecstatic that the young bucks grew and learning to Win. Minimal injuries heading to the off-season. Season ended in a way the team goes away holding their heads high!!!

  16. J1Q: Hey DK! I love how young the Steelers offense. I think this team has so much potential all of the skill positions. The O-Line has also consistently improved as the season went along. If you had to play GM for the off-season, what would you do to improve the offense? Would you consider spending a premium pick on the O Line or at WR?

  17. I agree that it was better that they didn't go to Buffalo and get hammered. Season ends on a positive note, carry that momentum into September.

  18. Fricking Flaco……lol, but very happy with what the next few years will look like……

  19. This is actually the perfect way to end the season. On a winning streak, finishing up with a win but realizing it takes more than that to be in the playoff. This will be good for growth hopefully and make them want it more next year.

Take a break. Clear your head and get back to work.

  20. Canada is not going anywhere. The Jet sweep is not going anywhere.
They should have scored over 30 yesterday if not for the turnovers.

  21. Dk u r right its time now to sit back and evaluate for next season. Need to look at each position and what the needs are

  22. I think Canada returns. Controlling the time of possession with long methodical drives and forcing low scoring games, I believe, is how Tomlin wants to win football games. And they're averaging like 164 yards on the ground after the bye. I feel after the killer B's and having a high octane offense that could fall flat due to inconsistencies that lead to disappointing losses Tomlin decided to rebuild the defense and is now working on converting the offense to be a run heavy, dominant team. It's a more consistent approach and will find more success in the playoffs, since the drop off from starting RB to back up RB is far less than top WR to essentially 3rd string WR because key injuries and suspensions plagued that Killer B's era. Going back to the Brady years with the Patriots, they ALWAYS had a great run game and outstanding defense. Brady being able to pick apart defenses whenever he needed to was the icing on the cake to really solidify their dynasty. If they convert 1 or 2 more red zone trips, where rookie QBs have historically had issues, in every game after the bye, I don't think we're even questioning if Canada returns. I see more faults with Pickett than Canada when it comes to the offense too be honest. He bails on clean pockets frequently, does not like to settle into the pocket and set his feet, sails passes at times, doesn't see open receivers at times, and misses reads to take end zone shots as well. He's a rookie and he's already improved quite a bit but areas lacking on offense aren't entirely on Canada. I've seen way too many open receivers that I can't say its a scheme issue.

  23. The steelers will never be better than 9-8 with this coaching staff, unless the scriptwriters decide to give them a push.
