Team was flat goalie was terrible.
Excellent 1st period, all kinds of chances, but no finish. Then they mailed it in on D in the D-zone in the 2nd & 3rd. They're back to turning the puck over in all zones & when the 3rd goal was coughed up with poor positioning by 1st Kampf, then Rielly, it just felt like they weren't going to come back. Flush it. Move on. The Krak had 20 wins coming in & have been real good on the road, while the Leafs have regressed to their careless play of October. The 1st 2two Seattle goals (a deflection, then a moving screen) both involved Gio who has been solid this year, but not tonight. Murray was ordinary, while Jones, who was dog-crap last year, was excellent.

Also, do something with the GD powerplay. The 5 forward unit is a failing experiment. This money line passes around the perimeter, can't get inside, don't have the chins to get a greasy one and basically does a whole lot of nothing. They squandered 2 powerplays to start the game and set the tone of how the rest of the game would go.

Every team goes through these stretches. They weren’t gonna stay playing the way they did early in the season for the entire time. These rocky times build character and will make the team better when they come out of it. Give them a week
Matt Murray did not look last night falling on his knees to trying to stop the puck if he is strugging still with his groin and keeping quiet about his injury still in the dressing room
The leafs 3rd and 4th line played way better then the first 2 lines because they looked tired and did not show ecepth for the John Tavarres goal but everybody hasto play 60 minutes of hockey for what are stars get paid and I do see them getting by the first round in the playoffs with this type of goaltening and Defence unless Kyle Dubas has to make the team stronger on defence and goaltending and left wing power forward with his cap problem he is in.
Gio Said it perfectly. "Block the shot, or get out of the way". D-men try too hard sometimes to block every single shot, and they inadvertently screen their own goalie.
Morgan really has to go. He’s good guy. But he’s been here for long time with no team play.
Play Reilly and Brodie less have them earn the ice time, by starting on the third pairing. The D was much better while they were out of the lineup 12-3 record.
