   Yikes. Then factor in the worst PK in the league, and possibly the worst defense while on the PP. This is on the players for sure, but it absolutely reflects on the coaching as well – way too many uncontested high-danger chances against, it’s pathetic, really.

   Here’s hoping Colliton is the real deal, and takes over next season while graduating Hog/Pod/Aman/Karlsson along with him ,and hopefully a dman or 2 for the #5-8 spots. Get rid of some crappy contracts/players, implement some team structure, and maybe we can have a young team that we can actually cheer for. Anything is better than this group of entitled PP specialists.

   For reference, the Canucks had a cumulative 2.51 xGA/60 at 5v5 last season. I think individually you can point to players who have been worse this season than last, OEL for one, who actually did pretty well defensively last season. But I personally believe this is also an assistant coaching issue. Last season, the team played reasonably solid defence considering the personnel with Shaw in charge of the D.
