On our first show of the new year, we welcome back #Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal to take us through all the rumblings around the team. We start with Ricky’s report of the interest in Alexis Lafrenière, then get into the latest on Horvat, Miller, Schenn and where Jonathan Lekkerimäki could end up playing next season.

is there any word on the swedish coach being hired as canuck's head coach?
The question was, "if you could blink and get rid of a contract, who would it be"… answer the question Dhaliwal lol. The best path for the Canucks is to commit to a rebuild. That starts with the Horvat trade.
Even kyper said that Miller has had a bad reputation for being a locker room cancer since NY and Tampa and he's a rangers alumni, but noooo let's resign him
Horrible decision
Noone is going to take it canucks are fucked for a decade
Unfortunately we have a horrible owner and horrible front office Rutherford is senile, allvin is a puppet
Cancer in the foom Dhali if it isnt him then who
Buy out Miller
If the team is 7-10pts out of a playoff spot by the trade deadline, they have to focus on next year & beyond. The team has to become sellers. Create cap space and collect as many draft picks & prospects as possible, IMO.
Canucks are stuck with JT Miller. The faster you understand that the better off you'll be.
Question = If you could HYPOTHETICALLY get rid of a contract, OEL or Miller, who would you pick? Answer by Dhaliwal = goes off on a rant re: other teams being capped out – lol 😂😂
They need to prioritize. If Bo goes to New Yotk for Lafreniere and a pick the Canucks would benefit.A cap increase.
But I think that Boeser at trade deadline would help if they can find a suitor and Meyers.
Vancouver could have a poor year and finish where they get more then one first rounder.Dont give up the 2023 first rounder, big mistake
I’m sick of seeing big signings that aren’t worth the cap space
Time to trade for a empty hockey equipment bag with a broken zipper to do the Toronto Maple Laughs TANK for the North Vancouver Phenom. (Wonder Kid!)
I’d get rid of Miller. OEL is at least a nice guy. Shorter contract, as well.
Nope, I hate the player. Him and his attitude can beat it.
Rick stop pumping up Miller's tires…its a bad look for ya.
Any woke members of this Canucks management who decided to sign JT Miller should have their ass fired.
Take a little pain and move some guys out for a reset and move forward doing biz properly
Miller's not going anywhere, the window to move him was long closed. Also, why would we take Laffy? We have so much money locked up on forwards, why do we need another one…?
WTF ? Both Laffy & Hoglander are almost equal at less than 0.40 PPG …. barely worth anything more than a 2nd rounder! Daigle & Yakupov were #1 pics too …. where are they now?
I think as Rick , Lafraniare gonna cost, there is hope that he is gonna be good. i would trade Bo and a secondrounder.
Get rid of Miller! Give him away for nothing. He is the worst.
Petterson is leaving after the season not going to want to play with the cancer that is Miller for 7 years
Whatever the wrong decisions are I expect the Canucks to make those. Short on young talent? Trade away all your picks. Need defense? Re-sign your forwards to huge deals then sign a bunch of offensive forwards. Heck we can buy them out next year!
Can we all just calm down – Millers just tanking for Bedard to have a great line for next year… how does nobody see this?
There is alot of "tough" contracts to move however had we done a rebuild earlier or start not, its atleast a light at the end of the tunnel
canucks can't make the playoffs with petterson, horvat, & miller – so they better re-sign petterson, horvat, & miller for 10, 9, & 8 million $'s each respectively….uh, what?
