Nothing against Nolan, he seems like a great kid. But this is a typical example of Canadian broadcasters fawning over the guy they picked 2-3 years ago to be the top pick in the draft. They're too arrogant to admit they were wrong and mention guys like Hischier, Suzuki, Mittelstadt, Liljegrin, and Heiskanen and other prosepects with MUCH, MUCH higher ceilings. Just a bunch of Sportsnet lackeys rooting for the 'home-grown Canadian boy'
Im not exactly impressed with him likes hes any of the last top picks (mcdavid, eichel,matthews,laine) but you people saying. "No personality" as if that matters, did you people watch eichel and matthews interviews prior to them being drafted? It was like watching paint dry thats how little energy and personality they put into them

Nobody in this draft is deserving of going #1 but that doesn't mean that hischeir, patrick, and vilardi wont be decent players.

He looks like Peter Forsberg when he was young. If Patrick can stay healthy, he might just be the next Peter Forsberg.
