  1. Holland been nothing short of horrible for the oilers, Bob Nicholson hired him and should be fired as he hasn't brought anything remotely good to this club

  2. oilers need to look at the team commitment of the penguins, all deciding to go to letangs dads funeral instead of going home .they are a focused group of players that are committed to their teammates in every way

  3. Holland missed his opportunity to make key moves with a bunch of players on our roster at the beginning of the season. Players that all had value carried over from last season. Would have been so much easier to make deals over the summer with GMS around the league not knowing as to what kind of season any of our D and secondary forwards would have in 2022/2023. The window is now sealed shut with cement glue for Holland. Holland waited and waited and waited and now has revealed all his cards. Now every GM around the league knows exactly what Holland is playing with….an amazingly shitty hand. Can't fool any GM now Kenny. That's on you. That's why Holland is a horrendously terrible GM. Holland should have been playing the Kenny Rogers song every night before he went to bed as a tiny reminder… "Know when to hold them and know when to fold them". Kenny should have been listening to Kenny. Oiler fans know, like every GM in the league, that this is it folks….this is our D core. Our D core have maxed out their talent level and it ain't going to get any better than this. Now we have to painfully watch this for the remainder of the season. Thanks Kenny, you're a helluva poker player.

  4. Has anyone noticed that Leon Draisaitl is not skating well. I wonder if he is still injured? He is really playing poor defensively and continually gives away the puck away with his risky passes.

  5. PK eaten alive…. one of the lowest ranked in the NHL….. they are always late and inactive. Ultimately this team fails to control the puck as much as the teams they play….Kings are a much more active and complete team.. Is Evander Kane's return the turning point? Is it really one guy that decides the fate this year? 21-21 this year. The Kings looked like the much better defense despite giving up even more goals per game than Edmonton this year. Edmonton is two superstars ~ 2 or 3 other keys and not much else. So many guys on this team are invisible.

  6. Bettman policy to never criticize REFS leaves league w terrible Refs. As for team, Bouchard & Kulak major errors every game – can't be on teams expected to win… & Broberg/Barrie just doing ok for now. Drais played well & McD always dangerous. Hyman/Nuge $40m deals/gambles working so far… but the other 8 FWDS are all 4th Line… GM did not pick right guys. Yamo coasts, Foegele & Pulju are big but play small/not skilled. Hoping CGY or EDM makes playoffs.

  7. shame. BobNicholson is the problem. Is not competent & keeps hiring GMs based on past resume vs truly identifying skill.

  8. Lmao what a disaster of a team. Honestly. That penalty kill is just hilarious at this point, they STILL can't manage consistent secondary scoring, and Campbell had red flags coming out of his ass and ears in the off season. I understand the Oilers were desperate, but he wasn't the only option! Campbell was GOD AWFUL from January to March of last year, and he was subpar at BEST in the playoffs (he could not even manage a .900% on a team with good shot suppression numbers). Signing him may be a fine bet with a longer (and stronger) track record of success, but Campbell has barely had experience as a starter. I am just going to go ahead and say it: I freaking called it, and signing him was pure emotion and desperation.

You can kiss McDavid goodbye because no one wants to piss away their prime like this, especially a generational talent like him.

  9. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time watching this game, especially with an 11:30 pm start and usually puck drop isn’t for 15 minutes after that lol. Not to mention the organization doesn’t seem to take their product seriously. Which is insane considering Mcdavid/ Draisatl and some other brilliant players around them. Same narrative as always, can’t, won’t do anything. It’s not worth the assets after they said they won’t be doing anything until the trade deadline which by then it’s too late because yeah they should have made moves earlier. A poor roster construction made by a high paying old school GM who is stubborn and has to stand by his roster decisions to bail themselves out. Well, you did some poor moves. Holland has made some great moves but overall it’s poor. His D is poor, his bottom 6 forwards are poor, there is no good PK player. It’s the same issues always no matter the GM, roster, coaching. So what’s the problem here? The owner? Poor hire after poor hire? It’s a tire fire and it always has. Surround your key players with some better role players. Get rid of the useless players and bring in proper ones.

  10. Bruce and David, please stop talking about this absurd reffing conspiracy theory the NHL has plotted against the Oilers. Not once on here have you mentioned all the soft calls that go in favour of the Oilers, not once. Reffing is not perfect but in the end, and at the end of the year, it all evens out. Your bias and inability to objectively evaluate the refs is off-putting and completely inaccurate. Plus you sound like weak whinny losers (more often than not)–stop it already. There is no diabolical anti-oilers conspiracy.

  11. Honestly when it comes to the refs, the league, there isn’t any integrity. Tim Peel on the mic that time, how can anyone believe there is any integrity? The proof is there, you see it all the time with the refs and player safety. You see everyone complaining about the refs because it is what you are seeing. It doesn’t help when a team has huge holes defending and their goals against is atrocious.

  12. OMG, the refs literaly work for Mcdavid every night, and you guys are blaming the refs for this loss? The refs did everything to get the oilers back in the game and they still couldn't do it!

  13. Highlight reel goals are nice but winning some damn games would be nicer. Headed for nowhere again. GM fail.
