Yes, he is. He’s not flashy but 9 times out of 10, he’s in the exact spot he is supposed to be on both sides of the puck.

    Nelson: 38p in 41gp

    Gaudreau: 38p in 39gp

    Makar: 37p in 38g (let alone he’s a defensemen)

    Bergeron: 33p in 40gp

    Barkov: 30p in 31gp

Bergeron is the only one listed that has a lower p/g than Brock. I’d say that Barzal is the only other NYI player that could be all-star consideration but given that Brock is a better scorer, I get the choice since Metro already has Crosby, Gaudreau, and Hughes.

Fanboy here just to point out that Bergeron is an all star regardless of his current points

You lost all credibility when you tried comparing to Cale. That’s outrageous

Bergeron could have 12pts in 60 games and I’d accept his entry.

They should limit the All Star weekend to just the skills competition, expand the number of players selected and forget about the “game.” The current format of the game is ridiculous at best.

I went to the A.S Game a few years ago(thank God I didn’t have to pay for the tickets) and we left the “game” early and went to the after game food fest while the “game” was finishing up. The Skills Competition the day before was way, way, way better than the joke they put on the following day. I would never go to another A. S. Game again as long as it’s in it’s current format. Doing yard work would be more enjoyable!
