Nurse was an enormously terrible contract. He should have been signed to 7m tops and he isn't even close to living up to that. He has never been close to a Seth Jones or Alex Pietrangelo.
The oilers are on a 20 year rebuild, McDavid is just the place holder until the real first overall takes over.
This is why I think if the Oilers don't make it to the playoffs, McDavid will demand a trade and Draisaitl will soon follow. They want a cup, not an early exit ticket.

swear Detroit and Edmonton are in opposite situations. Edmonton has elite offense with no middle six or defense, Detroit has the middle six covered and defense is only gonna improve with our prospect pool, but we have no elite offensive talent. Mr Y should call Kenny an work out some more fleecing
