  1. I would like to think that if you destabilize Marchand the way that Marshand destabilizes other teams, you can negate the offensive power of their first line

Case in point, his latest tantrums against the Los Angeles Kings.

He's a dirty player in addition to his partner in crime Jake

But, I agree with your overall assessment

  2. I think coach Montgomery brought out the best in all the bruins players in the practices and its transitioning into games cause the bruins teams confidence is through the roof and the players gelled as a team and ullmark is playing lights out as a goalie. I hope my bruins can end the playoffs with a cup win come June cause they lost the cup finals in 2013 and 2019 but they shoulda won 2019 finals but st Louis had the better goalie that's why they won game 7 in June 2019 in boston like how bruins won game 7 in June 2011 in Vancouver.

  3. You know why? Because their depth are players who took haircuts due to being overrated, or getting too old. Folingo, hall, krecji, and zacha make 15 million between all of them, and pasta and Marchand are making 7……that’s what happens when you have good players not killing your cap……..Toronto, edmonton, Vancouver, vegas (last year) etc

  4. Most dominate team in the league, however,
7 game series, lol, ask Florida how domination translated to playoff success last year, or Tampa a few years ago.
Playoffs are a different beast, as most fans already know.

  5. Boston has been playing some stellar hockey, but we all know teams play a completely different intensity in the playoffs. That usually doesn't go well for the Presidents Trophy winner, there has only been 2 teams that have won the cup in the past 2 decades.

  6. I’m a Ranger fan and can tell you there’s no way the Bruins wont be champions this year. They’re just way too good this year and unbeatable!

  7. This could be the rangers if our coach didn't try to snub out all of our first round pick young talent for has beens with rings. Goodrow passed to an opposing team breakaway and lost the game and he still starts him over the young talents and healthy scratches first overall picks.

  8. Terrified? Hardly….VGK & Boston are split 1-1 in each others barn this season. And it will be the same way going into the Cup,when we take it all

  9. Montgomery is playing chess – switching up lines and schemes to breakdown opponent's strengths and exploiting their weaknesses. I'm loving every minute of this season's Bruins.

  10. Been a Bruins fan since 1990, this is one of the best teams I've ever seen, period. They're playing like a well oiled machine. As long as the parts keep working, the sky's the limit.

  11. They've won 32 out of 40 games so far. They have yet to lose back to back games. Their worst 7 game strech all season has been 4-3. 32-8 overall is the equivalent of winning 8 different 7 game series averaging 5 games a series. It would take an epic collapse for this team to not go all the way because right now they're unstoppable

  12. I've been a Bruins fan since 1967. So proud and grateful to see them win the 2011 Stanley Cup in my home city of Vancouver BC (still embarrassed about the riots). The performance of this year's team is truly remarkable. I had no expectations prior to the start of this season. Thank you Jim Montgomery!

  13. I was born in 1964 and I got a 3 month old puppy around May of 2011 and I wanted to name him either Boston or Bruin if the Boston Bruins got past Tampa Bay to make it to the the Stanley Cup which they did but we ended up naming him Simba because my youngest son and I could not agree on a name so he came up with the idea for us to pick our top 3 names put the names in a hat and whichever one matched we would name the puppy that name and both of us had Simba as a match for our top 3 names.
Simba is still alive and well and still has a lot of puppy left in him and hopefully he will be able to see the Boston Bruins win their second Stanley Cup in his lifetime. Maybe then I'll nickname him Boston; "Simba Boston" or "Boston Simba"
I call him Saint Simba now because he is a Saint. He's a great dog and looks just like a Black Mouth Cur.

  14. I also think an underrated part of this team is the improved play from players such as Carlo, foligno, gryz, and even coyle. Along with Lindholm, these guys stepped up in a huge way when marchy and mcavoy were out earlier and haven’t slowed down either

  15. I live in Boston but the bruins are not my number 1 team. But they do definitely deserve to win the cup this year. They have such great talent and its so fun watching them play

  16. Good analysis. About a 7 game series, the answer doesn't matter now. It matters the health of the team come playoffs. The Prince of Wales winner seldom wins the cup.

  17. Does the fact that the league is a cabal and is heavily manipulated terrify you? lol Marks being marks.

  18. There were many Bs fans who were extremely critical of Neely/Sweeney for letting "Butch" Cassidy walk. But now, in retrospect, it was a great move!

  19. I love my bruins this year!!!!!!!! What a great team they have become. LEAVE THE TRADE DEADLINE ALONE!!!!!!!!

  20. I like your analysis of this team. The boys love another and coach. Monty loves them he doesn't throw guys under the bus in the media they are playing for each other. 🍝 Is happy because he has the combination to the safe. No one knows whats gonna happen in the playoffs so don't act like you know leafs fans in the comments. This team is good.

  21. After last season, I wanted the Bruins to blow it up and do a rebuild. The team had been in mediocrity for a few years, we thought our captain was gonna retire and the prospects we had hoped to make a difference hadn't really been reaching anywhere near their full potential. I was actually pissed when we fired Bruce Cassidy because although his culture got stale, he still is a good coach. His slow but grindy and tough style of player fit the team identity at the start of his tenure. However we would always get crushed by the speedier Lightning come playoff time. Sometimes a new leader is all it takes to stoke a team's fire again. And there's no better example then this year's Boston Bruins

  22. I absolutely completely disagree with your stupid a$$. Only someone young like you would say bs like. The players loved Cassidy! They loved Cassidy! Jim is a noone. He literally is just lucky t
The team is playing better this year shame on you u * punk. Also wanna put some extra blame and hate… Dickhead Don Sweeney f*n pay…THE MAN, PASTRNAK! SOOO sick of Sweeny n company sending others out the door when THEY are to blame and suck!

  23. No, this is NOT essentially the same team as last year. The GAPING hole on last year's Bruins team was 2nd line center. Charlie Coyle is an EXCELLENT 3rd line center, but he is a BELOW AVERAGE 2nd line center, so getting Krejci back makes both the 2nd AND 3rd lines exponentially better. The next HUGE difference is we get a full season of a TOP PAIRING DEFENSEMAN in Hampus Lindholm! He is a HUGE upgrade over Matt Gryzelcyk, who again is a great 2nd pairing D-Man, but is a below average top pairing d-man. Now add Pavel Zacha for Eric Haula, and factor in Nick Foligno's resurgence, and you have a different team. Yes, the coach is an upgrade too, and players like DeBrusk, as you pointed out, welcomed a change. Jim is doing a great job, as Boston was already a defensively sound team. He's just opened up their offense, so the team relies a bit more on goaltending, but with the explosive offense, it's been a great move.

  24. Great video, love the point about activating the d men to create confusion. I felt the Avs' perfected that last season, especially seen through Cale Makar, and was a main factor in them going all the way. Exciting how the game progresses and changes.

  25. People the bruins have 2 no 1 defenceman I never knew.how good.he is lindhom I have seen him.in the corner he.is in own end 3 guys around he manages to find the open man with crisp pass he just has eliminated 2/ 3 opponents from.play with one pass

  26. Look bro, on a 82 game season, you do have teams who will bring it, no prob, gut work play every game and become huge phenoms. We're talking 82 games, that is vs big other teams, and weak other teams, vs team who are on a winning streak, and teams that are on a losing streak.
Playoff has none of that, cause teams get hot, that forces lot of odds betters to re-shuffle their views. I've been watching NHL hockey since the 1970s, and you can have that big scary team finishing first overall, than playoff rings their bells, cause every team presses on that reset button, and transform, some for the best, others for the worst.
So I dont think the Bruins can turn into a powerful force vs team who now know how to grind it each and every game in the playoff.
Last but not least. Not even mentioned in your video. This is where the Bruins have the breaking point: lot of their winning games have been won by a one goal lead. ONE GOAL LEAD. Read over, please. The playoff wont offer them that luxury, cause teams might simply push through and going into overtime. Overtime is for every team to grab, no more powerful Bruins.
