Trade down to Arizona’s spot. Give them #1 & they give up #3, their 2nd, DeAndre Hopkins & potentially a 1 next year too. Then the Bears take Will Anderson at 3.
Trading the 1st overall pick to either the Seahawks for 5 and 20 or the Lions for 6 and 18 to me makes the most sense. They are both some what in the market for a QB and might be looking. Bryce Young and Aiden Hutchinson could be special together, Pete Carroll would be a great NFL mentor for Bryce Young and getting two high end prospects at this draft for the Bears to address the needs of 2023 could change the direction of this core. Not getting Anderson or Carter at 1 or 4 is not the Khalil Mack caliber player they have built around before but you have a significant up grade on defense at 5 or 6 and support for Justin Fields at 18 or 20 maybe the OL or a wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Nijgba possibly the momentum running back that creates first downs Bijan Robinson. Anyway you shape it the Bears should be better next year, good luck at the Draft. 🐾
Knowing that the Raiders desperately need a QB, the Bears should trade the #1 for Davante Adams & get a 3rd team involved to get more picks. Use those other picks to fill the roster in the skilled positions on offense & DBs/Ends on defense.
Because they cheated in LOSING 10 straight games to get this pick I hope they're all going to be busts!
Dream scenario is to trade with Houston and receive their 2nd and 12th overall picks along with some other pick(s). Get Anderson at 2 and get another good player at 12 or trade back again. Fill the middle with Payne in free agency…
A couple of moments???? He missed lay up throws all year. Did not show much in the way of development in processing defenses quickly and getting the ball out. Please people STOP calling him a franchise QB already. He's got tools and talent but he needs to take a leap as a passer next year before words like that get thrown around.

Poles is playing poker…if they were thinking of shopping Fields, he would have been out there breaking Lamar’s record to increase his trade value. He would be stupid to say they don’t have a chance of actually using the #1 pick to secure what so many other teams are looking for. The Bears could potentially trade away the #1 pick and still get what they need most and pick up additional pieces to the puzzle.

As an OSU alum I watched Fields in college. He was a passing QB and not a runner. Like only if he had to. CJ Stroud projects to me to be a better pocket passer than Fields. Issue is he plays a lot in shotgun, like Fields did. I would definitely consider to trade Fields and draft Stroud at #3 or #4 as I just think he will be a better pro passer. I’m not a fan of running QBs unless it is more opportunities like Mahomes. Designed QB runs reeks of desperation in my opinion. I see a lot of former Bears QB Vince Evans in Fields. Good playmakers and adequate at the position. It would be nice however to finally have a dynamic passer at QB in Chicago. Erik Kramer was the closest the Bears had unless we go back to Luckman or something. Historically inept at the most critical position in football. Legacy of Halas I suppose.

I would consider trading FIELDS and drafting Stroud as I think is the next Mahomes on the right team and he cam throw something FIELDS still needs to develop. If you're going to draft Bryce you minus well keep FIELDS, they're the same type of QB except Bryce is a midget.

Trade Justin Fields and we riot. This was the worst season I can remember yet somehow one of the most entertaining because of the one man show. We get rid of him that’s all hope gone.
They were 3-14 with Justin Fields at QB. "Exciting" mobile running QB's do not win Super Bowls. Just look at Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson. They sell tickets but that is it.

You can’t overspend on Montgomery, he’s more then a solid back but he’s not elite. 2 years 15million with 8 million guaranteed. That would be fair.
Bet Fields never runs for a thousand yards again unless he runs 20 times and each 1 is for 50 yards, that could happen.
