The Czech defenseman scored the game-tying goal in the dying seconds of the 3rd period againts Sweden in the 2023 WJC semifinal. In 2010 Karel Rachunek, another Czech defenseman, scored a legendary goal, tying the WC semifinal game vs Sweden with 8 seconds left. The Czechs went on to become world champions.
