At some point players need to recognize these hits are essentially a coin toss on being a shoulder to shoulder hit or a hit on the numbers. Maybe stop trying to go for a big hit if half the time it's going to result in penalty minutes.
I dont understand why players do this. We learned very early on if you're on the boards just hug it. You will transfer the energy to the boards and it wont hurt at all. Why give him your back? asking for a few lost teeth.

The embellishment rules need to be modified to explicitly mention turning to face the boards on purpose ti draw a penalty on the incoming hit.
My guess is Gustafsson didnt see Kadri.
