It was an ugly win, but the New Jersey Devils were able to get the two points against the Carolina Hurricanes nonetheless. It took them two hard-fought attempts, but the Devils finally got the upper hand this time around. Dawson Mercer was able to provide a spark on the bottom-six by scoring twice. He should be given a bigger role after his big performance.

I am glad to see scoring contributions from the rest of the Devils roster. The Devils deserved to win, especially after that tough loss on the January 1st game.

Why are Wood and Mcleod always put together. They have been mostly invisible on the score sheet since Bastian went down. Mercer, Boqvist, and Mcleod seemed to have some luck together, why not keep it together?
We all love what Jack has been able to do for the last 19 games, but it was a relief to see the team getting a majority of the production out of the bottom six. This is what they were doing regularly in their 13 game win streak.
Come back wins on the road and not letting 2 SHG’s not sink you get you an A. The Devils earned two points, and Carolina gets 0. Carolina lost momentum against a full on =Jerseytude swag like team

You're coming across more and more like a "super fan" in your videos fyi. Have not been all that impressed with the "Locked On" Podcasts teams and your personal take game after game is a bit off IMO. Sounds like you're comparing this game too much to our 13 game win streak, just cause we aren't dominating teams doesn't mean we ourselves are being dominated. Things were pretty much perfect during that streak. And Seigs goal wasn't that weird, wasn't lucky either. It was a smart shot. Hurricanes also aren't cup contenders IMO, solid rookie goaltending and 2 great veteran goalies that constantly get injured. Interesting too, cuz I listened to the game, then watched highlights. Listening to your take on the game is nothing like Chico and Matt on the Audio call, also skipped through the game since I recorded it and gotta disagree with your assessment again. The Devils didn't play that poorly lol. Mercers goal was a beauty but absolutely not goal of the year unless you're talking Devils goals only? Lastly, I'd bet you don't even take AG1, they sponsor any YouTuber out there. You're not Lindy Ruff, just accept that. Constantly acting like you know more than the coaches, it's honestly very annoying. Since you clearly don't think Ruff is deploying the correct lines, I CHALLENGE you to ask him more direct, tough, maybe even sensitive questions in your post game interviews.
