The game of hockey has changed quite a bit over the past 100+ years, so it comes as no surprise that today’s forward-thinkers are finding a way to make progress within the sport. Locomation, a Pittsburgh-based company which focuses on human-guided autonomous convoys for semi trucks, teamed up with Carnegie Mellon University, the Zamboni Company, and the Pittsburgh Penguins to create a human-autonomous hybrid system for a pair of Zambonis to resurface an ice rink.
