HI Gil. You got a shout out on another isle podcast tonight. And i am glad you brought raty up. The other show was saying the same thing. why is raty up with isles just to get seven minutes a night? His ice time goes down every game. And they said what i suspected. Isles (whether its lane/lou or both) are putting raty out there not to succeed because then lou would be forced to keep him on roster and take a spot from one of his over 30 dinosaurs. Plus isles don't want to eat a year of elc. What do you think?
And word is pelech has a serious concussion. So if he is out long term how does that affect isles? And does lou have to pursue a d man big time by tdl instead of the much needed forward? If pelech goes ltir that gives isles some $$$'s to play with to pursue options. what do you think? Also varly was mentioned. Maybe sabres are a trade partner and word is varly limited no trade clause doesn't include sabres. So if sabres get hot and remain in chase could they be a trade a partner? Or will lou not want to deal with a team isles could be battling with for a playoff spot? Also vrana passed through waivers. Det. might get desperate to dump vrana. How about bailey for vrana? $ for $ exchange. If he doesn't work out then dump him later for assets with the inevitable task of dumping all these useless guys that can't play anymore and begin a re-build. That is so lou like not pursue this. And reality is this team isn't good enough to contend. No trade is gonna change that so why even make tdl moves this year (and trade another first) unless it involves dumping the useless old guys? Too bad lou thinks this roster is good enough instead of tearing it down and going after bedard.
Mentioned this possible trade too. Would palmieri or bailey and holmstrom plus a third be enough for horvath? I say no way. Horvath can be signed for free in july.

I said the usual 'no one wants lou's overpaid garbage like palm and bailey'. plus 'bailey will be bought out after season. no one wants a third liner charading as a top liner'. You're getting a lot of cross-over-viewer-love in the live comments of the YouTube stream, "isles never say die". Thought occurred to me too to give Gill Martin some organic promotion. Nevertheless, endorsements were made on your behalf several times during their Wednesday night live show.
I agree with your opinion on letting young, offense oriented players take shifts on the PP to gain experience and get some confidence in their game. I think most coaches use the PP as a reward system. Play right and you get PP minutes.
