This is fair. Most analysts/models had them in that “more likely than not” tier of making the playoffs. Lots of projections had them as a wildcard team, somewhere in the ~mid-90’s points wise (I think Dom L had them at 92 points).
Most fans felt some level of optimism going into the season. Not that this team would contend, but there was a sense this team might be able to take a step forward competitively.
Ultimately this team had a bad start to the season, never recovered and it’s been an underwhelming first half of the season.

Ok analysis, but Klingberg being the Least Valuable Player while being ditchable as a UFA hasn’t seen OEL/Myers.
