  1. I don't like the fact that the loser still gets a point. Every game should be the same, Not some games being worth 3 points and others only 2. If you really need overtime then the loser should get 0!!!

  2. Phenomenal interviewer perfect balance between personal and staying on topic, asking interesting questions also great voice lol amazing

  3. I love me some shootouts but i couldn't agree more, i always have a small feeling of disapointement when it goes there, espiecially in international tournaments games

  4. 3 on 3 OT was great a few years ago. It’s quickly becoming awful though with the constant retreating outside the blue line to regroup.

  5. Great interview. SportsNet does hockey better than anyone in Canada it seems. An eye for the good talent is the difference I believe.

  6. If people are so hard on making the game have Chel modes at least have a full 20 of 5 on 5 before we go down to 4 on 4 for 10 and 5 on 5 for 5 then shoot out for finish

  7. “It’s not my job to answer that question” = “PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET US SOME DEFENCE”

  8. Playoffs overtime should be 3v3, just like the juniors. 3v3 is a big part of getting points in the regular season so it should carryover. Nobody wants to see 2-3 overtime periods of sluggish 5v5

  9. Mcdavids take on the nhl and olympics was great to hear. Both sides need to figure it out asap enough with the BS we wanna see mcdavid Crosby mackinon play together for team Canada

  10. They should keep doing continuous 5 min OTs. It’s taxing yea but the NBA has been doing it for years and a long break between OTs can help too.

As for international play it’s absolutely pathetic how the league just doesn’t care about it unless it’s profitable. I get the last 2 Olympics maybe especially Beijing last year, but wb the World Cup of hockey? The league continuously gives excuses for it and we’re wasting McDavid, Mackinnon and a bunch other star players primes without ever seeing them play together in a best on best tournament

  11. My David and Sydney crosby are very typical Canadians. Humble and low key. Kudos.

  12. RNH on pace for 100pt season and you know he ain't making the all star game. Also speaks to Oilers shortcomings when they are the league's only team with 4 players with 20+ goals and struggling to make playoffs…how can they not fix defense year after year.

  13. extending overtime is a stupid question simply because lots of T.V providers would throw a fit because they'd have to delay or cancel whatever they are showing next if the overtime takes a long time.

  14. Yes no more shootouts give 3 pts for a win and a loss is a loss . Its sad when a team has more wins and miss the playoffs.

  15. Keep the 3 on 3 for 5 minutes then the shootout but if you wanna improve the game then eliminate the extra point when it's tied after regulation time, this way team will not play the last 10 minutes for the extra point (boring hockey) they will always play to win.

  16. WTF should we care about McDavid's opinion in particular? His isn't any more important than any other player as it's not because he's the best player that he's also the best in a different position, even in the same league same sport.
ie: Wayne Gretzky, best player of his time, if not at all. Mediocre team coach.
I don't see why we should care what McDavid thinks about league management at the moment.

  17. Shootouts were brought in for highlights and excitement but the game has gotten so skilled and fast now that 3 on 3 produces more excitement and highlights

  18. Shootouts are a huge part of the sport for you kids practice and development working in hands and moves. Will be a huge disappointment to the hockey world if the shootout is gone
