There is not a controversy right now for who is in net. 6K has earned his position but it’s not his birthright, so he needs to hold on to it. Comrie also hasn’t been shut out of his opportunity. He has gotten a single game since coming back and he will get more. It’s up to him with what he does with that.
What’s saving this team from a controversy is both the AAV and term for all 3 goalies. It’s not like they went out and signed Jack Campbell to a 5 year / $5 million deal and he fell on his face in year one. Adams has all 3 goalies under contract for just $4,137,500 and nobody signed past next year.
Kinda leans into the caution that many should have when they want Adams to make a big move for a big name right now. No player that is mentioned as being a `problem` has term with Buffalo after next summer. There is a lot of benefit in that.

I think UPL will solidify his starting spot by the end of this season. He’s amazing at everything other than his glove is weak sometimes, so with so little flaws I believe he can clean that up and then be invincible
