Maurice is not going to be fired, at least not for this season. It’s clear that Zito stands by his decision and is willing to accept the current .500 performance of play. If Zito had a permanent replacement in mind, he’s saving it for the off-season. It’s painful and outright disgusting seeing what this team has become, but here’s hoping that we hold out until we have proper replacement next year. It’s going to be a big ask for someone to step in and clean up Maurice’s mess in the middle of the season.
