GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Bruins (02.08.22) | Heinen Catches Fire

After resting up over the All-Star break, the Pittsburgh Penguins hit the road to take on the Boston Bruins. Pittsburgh would fall behind 2-0 in the first period but Danton Heinen led the Penguins back with two goals of his own to tie things up in the second. Sidney Crosby would go on to net his 499th career goal in the same period to give the Penguins a 3-2 lead heading into the final frame. Pittsburgh would hold onto their lead in the third due to some amazing saves from Tristan Jarry. Bryan Rust netted the Penguins some insurance by way of an empty-netter to win this one, 4-2.

  1. Awesome come back. Still mad about last game against capitals. They definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. But that was a good game though. Now let’s keep the winning streak continues . Let’s go pens.

  2. Congrats to the Pens for getting back in the win column. Errey was right, the first period wasn't their best but they really picked up the pace for the next two.

And then there's Marchand. Is it any wonder he was voted the dirtiest player in the 2020 poll of almost 400 fellow NHL competitors? He's a petulant rat, always has been, always will.

  3. Cant wait till little Bradley comes back to Pittsburgh and someone cross checks him in the face 5-6 times and splatters about 4 pounds of his nose all over the place. Im guessing he was extra hissy last night because he had a yeast infection, the poor wittle guy! LOL
