Matt Martin’s brutal hit from behind on Sean Couturier against the boards went uncalled, and Couturier was enraged after being forced to leave the game and having the hit go uncalled.

Philly deserves it
He is fine lol.
Brutal, cant really tell if it was a small shove or what since yall slowed the damn video down
Couturier is starting to make a habit of this kind of making himself defenseless in the hopes that someone comes and "boards" him to draw a call (it's actually in the NHL rulebook, I dont remember the exact wording). Anyone else remember the "Flyers' Sean Couturier Loses His Cool After No-Call On Hit From Behind" from a couple months back? At least the refs are seeing through his kind of thing.
Hell yeah they have to vheck that out go pens
Looks like a dive. Felt the check and drives himself I to the boards. Leaves game to make it look legit.
Yeah the refs sucked in that game gave Robert hagg four minutes for highsticking and it wasn't even his stick
Guys, there was no give when he went into the glass there. You ever hit your head really hard outta nowhere on something when you’re getting back up? That’s this. Not to mention it’s in slo-mo
Hopefully he has a concussion!!
Oh boy the refs getting paid by Ny
In beer league, I would never protect the puck by facing the boards like this, trusting that the player behind isn't going to intentionally or accidentally hit my numbers. NHLers now do it on purpose, knowing that 99% of the time they aren't going to get boarded. Frankly I'm amazed at the restraint and respect this shows on the part of the players.
And no Flyer answered that hit.
And that's why major penalties should be challengeable.
Who the hell is Matt Martin?
What about that 4 minute high sticking penalty that the flyers took even though the Islanders high sticked themselves?
More of a push tbh
Well Philly fans this what we feel like sometimes when you face teams like Crapitals in the playoffs last year and Wilson str8 up shattered the jaw my guy ZAR who left for immediate surgery btw like not just gone like im hurt but I can watch the rest of this important game like bye felicia ok you want ya jaw to still work right? Then you gotta go right now lol. I don't even think he got a penalty for it in game but he got in trouble after the game bc everyone started an uproar over it. Also no call for when he hit Brian Doumolin in the head from literally jumping into the hit up against the boards no less. Also tried to hit Letang like Dumo but letang barely side stepping it avoiding what could've been a career ending dirty hit by trash can Wilson no less lol. Let's be real Tom Wilson is the Vontez Burfict of the NHL 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂.
Courtier did more damage to his neck on the hockey swing in the hallway….what an idiot
Ofcourse not its against a flyer
This was not called…and that own high stick was called against the Flyers? JEEZ!
typical guys a p.o.s
Brutal hit?? Or light push followed by an awkward fall
Listen the someone last time from the flyers cross checked cazikes in the head and I felt like he needed pay back
For a little push? I guess it was on the back but Couturier could do a little better job of protecting himself there
Why doesn't it surprise me that it wasn't called?
I have had this happen to me exactly… not only the head, but that neck that absorbed the contraction is going to be sore for a week
Brutal is different… Should've been a major penalty still… Because of the injury. Or at least 2' boarding call. Refs in the NHL are blind lol
I love Martin, but that was bad
It’s because the hit itself doesn’t look hard, and there wasn’t a lot of speed involved. That’s why clean hits at fast pace are called penalties. Don’t get me wrong Martin deserves suspension, but I get why it’s not called.
Moral of the story: Never trust q guy that doesn't have a visor
I’m sure if that was Tom Wilson hitting him that would’ve been an automatic “20 game suspension “😂
It wasn't called cuz it was clean.
Well now that u posted it, you better belive they will be looking at it
Refs were a joke in this game. This non call is pathetic! That's a suspension. And giving Hagg a high sticking penalty when he didn't even touch the guy, disgraceful!
If only Chara broke his face and ended his worthless career, that hit wouldn’t have happened.
You’re all watching it in slow motion. Watch it in real time. A hit from behind is a hit from behind.
Refs called a double minor on Haggs when it was in fact a Islanders player who high sticked their own player… that game was an embarrassment of calls and felt like a fixed game
Seeing a lot of comments saying this isn't brutal. Couturier is off balance, Martin drives him through the numbers, and his head hits the glass hard. That would hurt, it is boarding, and it's pretty brutal.
Hmm..bent 90° and getting pushed towards the boards that are maybe 5 feet away, and finish with an epic impacting flop… guarantee you Suban or Crosby has been given the ol' embellishment call there. Flyers fans cry, cry, cry..eh?!
Martin's a goon. Throw the book at him.
The NHL is turning into a joke. That should have been a multi-game suspension and a fine. That hit was dangerous.
That was nothing
Soft check. he was leaning forward and unbalanced
That wasn't Brutal nor a hit
Dive
In 1975 this was a normal hit.
