  1. Buffalo was and is still an ECW Territory. Burt Flickinger Center was their main venue here in Buffalo. I was there when RVD beat Bam Bam for the TV title. Franchise and Francine made me lose my 14 year old voice just booing the hell out of them. Niche crowd for sure, but we were a raucous crowd!

  2. There's another word that rhymes with screw that fits… Hmm… What was it… 🤔

  3. His timeline is a little off. Series 1 of the ECW figures was released in 1999, roughly two years after their first PPV

  4. who the hell would pride themselves on a handshake deal with paul heyman? you ever think if you had it in writing he might not have been able to screw you over for you dolls?

  5. I'm surprised Paul Heyman is alive with all the dimes he screwed people out of.

  6. I remember a friend of mine brought his copy of the first ECW video game to my house for us to play not knowing who the hell ANY of the characters in it were (didn't even know ECW existed back then). I only saw it as a WWE Attitude ripoff.

  7. For all those people that ramnticize ECW, this is just one story (of many)of how Paul just took advantage of people.

  8. Yeah I still have all my ECW figures unopened. A lot of them I bought at live events and some guy who had an ECW store in a Mall that had ECW VHS tapes, figures, replica belts. Spent a small fortune and still have all of it from ‘99.

  9. If Shane had run the business side of ecw, they would have been so financially successful………….Paul was a complete idiot, moron and thief when it came to ANYTHING besides booking.

  10. Troy ".198 lifetime batting average, utility infielder" Martin has spoken, children!

  11. Could someone clarify what he meant by saying Acclaim got a majority of the company assets after ECW folded? What assets did they get and why?

  12. Man that pisses me off! I bought and still have all the figures assuming the workers got royalties. Now I feel like an ass for getting them signed.

  13. the moment ECW Wrestling put out action figures the promotion jumped the shark (A Anti-establishment like ECW shouldn’t have plastic toys devoted to the company (I remember seeing the figures in a toys R US i was embarrassed (Paul also put out that ECW soundtrack CD like a dope i bought it straight away (the first game was very strange to say the least i think it was the first pro Wrestling Game to get a Mature rating (It played so/so) i think i also bought that on day one for the Dreamcast! it was cool having a wrestling game with a barbed wire match but, it got old quick Paul was without a doubt stealing the money (Complete grifter i’m shocked all the former ECW employees haven’t all joined forces to go after Paul Heyman in some sort of class action lawsuit! Instead he got a golden Parachute and has pull in the WWE

  14. Paul Heyman was a snake and not that good of a businessman. He screwed over many of his wrestlers not just in royalties. To this day several wrestlers have said he never paid them what he owed them and he is a millionaire especially when he sold ECW to WWE.

  15. I managed to pick up a ton of ECW action figures when they were marked down around the time ECW was heading down the toilet. Other than dust and some cosmetic flaws, I have most of the important ECW talents (Franchise included) and two different series actually. No idea if they're worth anything but they did collect dust for a while and have been in dry storage recently.

  16. Hear me out. Wrestlers are prostitutes You suck a lot of dick to get no where. Its not a knock but understand you have no control of what happens to you and them you die doing it to make other people money😊

  17. Paul gets so much credit but he's a scam artist and nothing more. Bankrupt several of his talents pushed them to do more and more dangerous things, while his fat ass was taking money from Vince and then went out of buisness owing millions. Yeah he's some one to praise…

  18. Paul is a crook. Think of the millions he made in the WWE and paid nobody back the money he owed them.

  19. When all is said and done, wrestling will remember Paul E. as the mastermind of ECW but more so as being a sorry POS of a business man.

  20. I always liked to think theres a special place in hell for people like paul.
And it sucks that he literally went on to make so very much money, and to this day he still owes people 50 and 60,000 dollars and those ECW guys deserve everything they are owed.
Ive made it a rule in my life. If i have to hurt, ruin or step on someone to get ahead. To get wealthier, to live comfortable, its not worth doing that.
Bc when you step on people and screw them, you end up putting yourself in a position of someone doing the same to you. And we live in a very small world.
You’d think that paul would wanna help and make up for all the lies and the way he did the wrestlers who really built ECW.
But i guess to him he dont care. He got his money.
And it really really sucks how the wrestlers basically got nothing, even in the end. Its a shame, all the money that coulda went to the people who built the company. Went to a mega business that prolly wouldnt notice if that money was there or not.
