It’s like taking a massive crap and admiring it before you flush. The kind that’s nice and solid and doesn’t break up as it comes out, and it stretches from the bottom of the toilet to the bottom rim. It’s gross, yet you’re awful proud of it at the same time.

I feel the most discouraging part of the article is how the “team has quit on several occasions”. Whether that’s the general perception or not, I don’t know. But if that’s true, It’s critically important to eliminate that mindset as that’s not a talent issue but rather a team culture issue. If that’s allowed to imbed itself, it’s difficult to eradicate. That especially needs to happen before any new young talent comes on board. It’s hard enough to transition to the pro game and ensuring that the right environment exists to nurture young talent is crucial.
