  1. That's one hell of a name – Akira Schmid. Ya gotta know the home boards. Well done, Hronek, and nice finish, Larkin.

  2. *heads straight to comment section to see Steve dangit posts! Was not disappointed 👍

  3. Goalies will never learn. I play in a ballhockey league (I know its not hockey no need to chirp) and no matter how far ahead the other team is infront of mine, I never leave my crease and when it's only when puck is like 2 feet infront of me and I smack it away lol

  4. I guess that they've never heard about the end boards in Detroit, over in Switzerland.

Ain't the first goalie to learn about them the hard way. Probably won't be the last either.

  5. Someone might want to remind Mickey Redmond that it's currently 2021, almost 2022. Pretty sure that "Fats", "Terrible Ted", and "Mr. Hockey", worked out those boards in Olympia, back around 1952 or 1953. Hell, The Wings we're playing at "The Joe", 35 years ago, and the "Old Red Barn", was 1 year away from it's demolition. And, oh yeah, Alex Delvecchio retired nearly 49 years ago.

I love when Mickey starts reminiscing about the good ole days, but someone needs to remind him that they're not brewing Stroh's on Gratiot anymore.

  6. If you're a goaltender…

Yeah, give that man the shirt. Wow. Completely miscalculated the angle of the puck, and that's a freebie for the Red Wings' captain.

  7. The New Jersey Devils – CHECK
    The Jersey Jersey – CHECK
A goaltender not tending the goal – CHECK

    3 for 3… That's a dang-it.

  8. Most of these types of goals are wacky bounces that aren’t the goalie’s fault – but this one was fully on the tendy, that angle isn’t hard to figure out

  9. Nobody gonna comment on Hronek being a genius? That was 100% intentional icing pass to get Larkin in on goal there. Obviously the bounce off the boards was even better than expected, worked out perfectly. Great assist there.
