Great win for the boys, stopped a losing streak right in its tracks. Now go back home and keep it up, kid line was buzzing, another game where I didn’t hate the jost line, okposo came up big and so did UPL in that 3rd

I honestly think we need someone who is physical. Quinn, mittelstadt, tage, UPL all got completely ran over today and sure we won the game but you still don’t want that to happen. I’m not saying go sign John Scott or something but I think if you swapped Bryson with a physical two way defenseman, it gives our team a different look. I realize the nhl isn’t about fighting and hitting anymore but tonights game and the Winnipeg game was playoff style hockey and we got dominated physically. Great to get the win but I think you need a few guys who can instill fear in the other team a little bit.

UPL might not always have the prettiest save %, but it the last 10 or so game he’s given the team a chance to win. That’s all you can ask for

Quinn and Peterka needed the rest apparently. They looked locked in.
Tage still looks off but he had seven shots and some nice chances. When his little funk breaks he’s going to go berserk.
Great game from Skinner as well, which was good to see. Also strong defensive efforts from Power and Sammy.
Give it up for the third fucking line everyone. After being the punching bag on the season, they’ve been an absolute strength the last few games. They are engaged and menacing, I was thrilled to see them rewarded with more ice time down the stretch. I hope they can keep that up because they’re fun to watch right now.
UPL had two softies but stood very tall down the stretch. Mixed bag performance but part of goaltending is game flow and he made some huge saves.
The schedule is daunting the next couple weeks, I’m just hoping for a .500 stretch until the week off. This team needs some rest but they are so much fun to watch. Playoffs or not, they’re a fun young team.

I demand a million upvotes for Oloffson and Mittsy. After so much hate (deserved or not), those two + Jost looked like our first line out there tonight. The hustle and skill was out on display. I had to rub my eyes seeing Oloffson make meaningful backchecking plays.
Here’s to those three finding a groove and continuing to play at this level. I don’t know how the Sabres don’t make the playoffs if that line starts working as well.

Still questioning how real Washington is with 6 pts up but still the most games played of anyone in the WC race
