Overall, that was a good road trip. They seem to be gaining some real traction. If they can keep it going, and when Kane gets back, who knows how far they can go up the standings. It’s looking optimistic.
People were saying that the last 2 teams are struggling and they should be guaranteed wins, which is true, but the way in which the Oilers won showed how much better they are now than at the beginning of the season.
And then factor this win against the top in the division, it exemplifies how much the Oilers have turned their game around. I love the addition of Kostin and Desharnais as well and I think even those "small" additions have made a big impact.
Is it my imagination or is Vinny their best shut down D? Nurse, Ci Ci and Kulak are still playing like bumbling key stone cops. Imagine what this team can do with 2 shut down D's. Big win tonight thanks to 3 unsung heroes: Yanni, Vinny and Kosty. And of course thanks to the usual super star suspects. Another solid game by Jack is Back Campbell.
