I don't understand how a rookie that hasn't played can create confidence over a veteran. Williams and Joyner can play in the NFL they are proven. I'm a hoping that the rookies are allowed to learn and gel with the team before getting thrown in to the wolves.

Honestly I get Robertson was drafted to add depth but he is undersized and let’s see if he can adapt being undersized in the nfl
I think the problem with key is Paul Gunther, he is the reason a lot of these struggling players who are probably told to do stuff that doesn’t make sense in his defense

Mariota is no doubt a player to watch during training camp. We payed him a lot of money for a backup and it will be his first practices with the team. Also we have to see how he’s practicing compared to Carr so we can see if he’s a potential future starter.
Tyrell Williams is a player to watch at training camp. He definitely has talent when he’s not injured and if he fails or is still playing like he’s injured than Edwards is gonna start in his place. But if Williams can get it together and be healthy then Williams WILL be a good player.
Joyner is a player to watch. We payed him a lot and he wasn’t worth it last year. Also we just drafted Amik Robertson who is a beast and could easily snatch up Joyners job.
Joyner is definitely more likely to get benched over Williams. Amik Robertson is so much better than Joyner and there’s really no better WR on the team than Williams.
Ferrell is a player to watch. He got a lot bigger and stronger this offseason. He’s battling for a starting job in the future and he needs to show he was worth the pick. I think he does step up and he’s already decent but in 2020 he’s gonna step up. Nassib is good in the rotation but he is NOT as good as Ferrell and Ferrell will take the next step.
Amukamara is a player to watch. It’ll be his first practices with the coaching staff and he’s gonna be battling for a starting job. Also Gruden does love his veterans so Gruden will be watching Amukamara especially because he’s a solid talent.
Arden Key is definitely a player to watch. Mayock wants him to step up! It really wouldn’t cost anything to cut him so he has to play at least decent as a rotational DE to make the team. If he doesn’t get any better and he can’t put it all together, he’s getting cut.
Maliek Collins is a player to watch. Again it’s his first practices with the team. As of right now he is a starter but he doesn’t have that spot locked down with a guy like Hankins behind him. Also I think Gruden will be watching him to see if Marinelli is making good choices with his signings. Collins isn’t a good player, let’s face it, he’s below average! But we don’t really have any better DT.
Marquel Lee is a player to watch. If he plays like I think he will then he’s gonna make the team over Morrow. Morrow is definitely higher up on the roster now but Lee is a better player and if coaches are watching and Lee doesn’t screw up than he’s making the 2020 raiders team.
Abram is no doubt a player to watch. He’s basically a rookie! He only played one game last year and in that game he actually players really well flying across the field and making hard hits. Also Gruden needs to make sure he’s not making helmet to helmet hits before the season starts.
