Good claim by the Habs, acquiring Clague–if the Habs are, in fact, going into rebuild mode, pretty sure Carey Price will not wish to be a part of that, but that being said, the Habs could fetch a decent price for Price, Ha Ha. P. K. Subban seems to be resorting to these measures to attempt to cover up his rapidly declining skills, he's become a defensive liability and his offensive output is vastly down—EV Kane will have to play very well in the minors to increase his value if he wants another NHL team to take a chance on him. DeAngelo has actually flourished in Carolina and has been well behaved,I believe the locker room environment helped. I sincerely hope Eichel returns healthy and plays well for the Golden Knights–not having to be the MAN in Vegas will definitely help him clear his mind, and , hopefully, allow him to reach his true potential.
A Price trade to Colorado wouldn't make sense, and is just a silly rumor because of how things went with Patrick Roy. However, a trade to Seattle makes all the sense in the world. Price's wife is from that area, and it would give Price a fresh start. A change of scenery. The biggest thing, is if Gorton can get a 1st round pick from this year out of Seattle, then he will hit the gold mine. Seattle is bound for a top 5 pick this season. Something that the Habs won't have the luxury of! I want to see this trade happen! Obviously, it would take some time to get the right deal. In a trade for Price with half of his salary retained, I'd expect a return of this years 1st round pick from Seattle, and to make the cap issues work, you would need to involve someone like Phillip Grubauer. The pick makes up for the value of Carey Price at a discount. If a deal does happen, that 1st rounder MUST be included.

DeBrusk to Seattle makes some sense but in reality they need to trade away a d-man, maybe Lauzon for him.
The Price to Seattle makes no sense, Seattle would need Habs to keep salary and send multiple picks, and even then maybe Driedger goes the other way. Grubi being traded is out of the question, looks at his stats since the Caps game two weeks ago, playing really well and Kraken are 5-1-1

A trade – Price to the Avs makes no sense. They won't do a rebuild in Montreal with Price, but what does Seattle want with him? For me it's still a mental thing with Grubauer, Driedger is a good alternative. Seattle could be just the team for DeBrusk where he can play light-hearted and unencumbered.
New Jersey is an interesting potential destination for DeBrusk they got a bunch of good young forwards who have played center. Hischier, Mercer, Hughes, Sharangovic. So it sure seems like that'd be able to potentially move a center. I doubt they'd want it to be one of those 4 kids. So maybe someone like Zacha would make sense. He had a pretty productive season last year and is at over .5 ppg this year as well. Not great in the faceoff circle over his career but does everything else pretty well. Might be an offensive upgrade on the second line over Coyle. And personally I'd like to see Boston figure out a way to keep the Coyle, Haula pair going. Miles Wood wouldn't make any sense to me. They have if anything an abundance of wingers.
I honestly dont think price is a future hall of fame goalie as you have mentioned. What would qualify him to be so? Patrick roy has 4 Stanley cups

Are people still trying to make Price-Seattle thing happen? Please point to Ron Francis' history and show me where he acquired such an ageing player with a monster contract. It's simply not in his nature.

Sean Durzi outplaying Kale Clague was a bigger factor in his departure and if he continues playing as he is it's going to do the same to Sean Walker as well.
If Montreal does a rebuild and I was was Price I wouldn’t stay I want the cup with a contending team and not youth that would take a few years to get there !
DeAngelo and Kane in one locker room sounds overly optimistic given the history each has..provocative and incendiary inclined..
I'm a devils fan and I called subban out infront of my entire family saying he needs to be fined. However, 2 of his 5 plays this season have been actual slew foots. Reaves and Blais were not, and the Ehlers play wasn't either. With that said, it's still a cheap ass move he's pulling. Slew "foot" is with the foot, but he's using his leg to hit the back of opposing players knees/thigh which controls their hips. So no he's not using his foot but it's just as fucking bad, almost worse than a slew foot. Unsuspecting play and the fines need to be consistent on him. And Lindy Ruff is getting pissed off with these plays.

I get Price is a top of the line PLAYOFF goaltender in he league but nobody is giving up what Montreal would want to retain 5 years 5mil. On top of that Price is not even a regular starting goaltender with his list of injuries. Price isn’t worth a trade with the cap crunch for another 3 years when he only has 2 years remaining.
I'm not paying anything truly significant for Debrusk as a Devils fan. If you can't succeed in Boston, have you seen the Devils? I'd like to see the Devils go after a guy like Josh Anderson. We need a big body, who can skate, and put a few pucks in the net. Yes I know he is injured currently.
Montreal would need to retain quite a bit for price to have any value at all. 10.5 mil and aside from the playoff run last year, he hasnt been worth half that the last few years

Goaltenders sharing a shutout. Yes, it’s very rare. Last time I remember was the early 70s, Jacques Plante and Bernie Parent shared a shoutout while with the Maple Leafs. I’m sure it’s happened since then but I am unaware of any other times.
